If your belt failed while the engine was running (especially at 5k), you definitely bent some valves. I had that happen in a previous 4G-powered car at idle, I bent 8 of 16 valves, and punched a hole through the #2 piston.

Hopefully, your pistons are still OK, and you'll be able to just drop in a new head and re-install the belts.

If the test comes back bad you're going to have to pull the head. At that point you can do a visual inspection. If the test somehow comes back good, try to get your hands on a fiber optic scope and use that to inspect the pistons through the spark plug hole.

Though, honestly, regardless of the results of the test, i'd want to pull the head anyways. After this kind of catastrophic failure, I'd want to be doubly sure about the condition of everything.

The manual shows what looks like 12-point heads on the head bolts. Probably 14mm, but might be 12mm. Use a regular 12-point socket on them.

EDIT: When it comes to reassembly, the tightening sequence is rather odd. First, you're supposed to put oil on the bolt threads. Tighten them in order to 58 ft-lbs. Loosen them completely. Tighten them again in order to 15 ft-lbs, then give each (in order) an additional 90* turn, then give each another 90*.

There is no final torque spec, just 58 - 0 - 15+90*+90*

Sequence:

O O O O O
8.6.1.3.9
<--timing belt side
O O O O O
10.4.2.5.7
