2004 ralliart timing belt replacement
awesome thanks. I need to find out the name of that other one. its slightly rusty and loose. its good for now but down the road it'll make noise and could cause a problem.
that number you gave me. is that a part number for mitsu, or can i use that for autozone?

Reviving this thread. So did you ever find out what that other pulley is? It doesn't look like the Idler because in my exploded view, the idler is lower. My car is making a noise that appears to be one of those pulleys. Trying to figure out which one it might be. Upon a cold start, the noise is very noticeable primarily at idle, once warmed up, it's faint but still there.
Cool, thanks for the reply.
So here is my issue.
I had a shop do the timing belt kit (belts and pulleys) TB332-168K1 which is both belts (timing and balance) along with the idler pulley. However, I now have this noise going on that didn't exist prior to having the shop do the work. It's only that pronounced upon a cold start and then diminishes after the car warms up. I still hear it, but it's very faint.
So give it a listen and let me know if you guys think it's a idler pulley. I suspect it is and I will be certain to go back to that shop and have a discussion. Because what I paid for doesn't seem to be what I got.

That is the full kit - TB332-168K1 which is for both the timing belt and balance shafts including the pulleys.

My only question is this, I don't see this part in this kit but I have seen it in others. Is this needed as well?

Referring to my vid? I found the issue. The serp belt tensioner pulley had a flat spot. I can only assume that the shop mechanic bent the pulley wheel when trying to remove the water pump pulley. I ended up buying a new one, albeit, a $95 piece and replacing it.
