hm.. okay. from the looks of it it seems like your crank sticks out slightly less than mine does but that could just be my eyes playing tricks on me. that measurement would definitely come in handy for me as i may have to get mine machined down a few fractions of an inch
Once the converter is in that measurement of how far it is as opposed to the edge of the housing would be also a great help to me. I think my converter may not be seated in as far as its supposed to but we'll see i suppose

How in what way do you have the plates flipped? like does the concavity of the adapter go up or down in comparison to the other plate. same with the smaller plate, does the rounded off portion go towards the adapter? or does it go towards the little press in piece?

In this pic the table would be the crank side, I think...
Take a straight edge across the bellhousing and measure to the highest point on the tourque converter, I will get the factory measurement from the Mitsubishi shop manual tomorrow. The tourque converter may not be seated all the way. The mechanic working on my car figured that was the only issue that there might be with your install. The crank side looks almost identical to what mine looks like.

Sorry aboot that, eh.

This car of mine, "Christine", will be the death of me. I am going to the mechanic tomorrow and talk to him. I am no longer as pissed off as I was a week ago, so I don't think I will punch him out. I will see if the service manual will be available to me, I bet there is a simple explaination to your issue.
We used the crank that came with the engine, which was previously mounted to a manual transmission. I think your issue is with the the transmission, check the transmission pump gear.

see the thing is. my other mechanic that took a look at the car said that w/ the transmission he's not sure if its that cause he took a look at it and said he can hear the pump n whatnot turning... iono i guess we're just trying to get rid of all other possibilities you know?
I REALLY want to see another auto transmission but w/ this car we found I'm unable to do it cause my mechanic is going to be busy for a good amount of time..

AFAIK, the bushings are the same.
I dropped off my expense receipts, $387.00 in total out of my pocket for their negligence. I got pissed off when they said that they were going to charge me for the alternator, oil change, and deductable. After all the **** I went through, they are going to still nickel and dime me! I might call my lawyer, I am again pissed!
