This is what happens when MIVEC activation is in the wrong RPMs

Blue graph shows MIVEC activation at 3800 RPM thats too low
Red shows NO MIVEC lobe
The sweet spot is in 4400 RPM
This is using stock camshafts with any aftermarket camshaft this sweet spot varies

Can you explain then how my graph has no Mivec dip or rise at 3500 rpm (Mivec activation point) From your perspective is that good or bad?

good luck with your install...don't forget the valve adjustment. Sadly I'm still trying to work with Lanzer on getting his OEM cam to reach Delta. USPS is not being friendly right now. Ed what are the numbers on your cam?

I didn't do the install. My shop did it. For the record, their will be a more noticeable/almost vtec like rattle with the new cam.

Even with the valve adjustment? I'm excited about this one for sure.

The noticeable Mivec changeover was with proper valve lash adjustment on a hot motor.

I spoke to Delta cams and they are going to do 2 versions of the cam. The first will be for NA only as they can get more agressive and the second for forced induction.

When I talked with them they had 2 available for na...so I guess there's 3 them. This makes more questions than answers... I guess I gotta call Ken again..
