Thanks. I'm doing a full Megasquirt II\Crank trigger conversion this spring. Carbs and distributor will be no more -- EFI all the way -- tunable entirely.

Being 5'10" 155lbs has it's advantages

Ok. Didn't know it was a awd dynamic. Yea I'd say toss thr bigger headers on and pnp head and ull be pullin some mor power. The stock headers flow ok but their dual walled and very small inner diameter

I think I may just buy a ****ty OBX header and slap it on the RRM downpipe (already has cat in it)

I'll say adjustable cam gear and get it custom tuned

I would love to see it on a dynojet to compare it with my dyno sheets and see how the camshaft performs

I've tested MIVEC and best crossover point with stock camshaft is 4,400rpm with that camshaft specs it should be raised since it has more duration and lift

Get a VTEC controller or a RPM activated switch and play with MIVEC it will give you more torque and better powerband

All valid points ED.

Based on conversion figures I have seen, 184 seems ballpark for dynojet numbers. DO vtec controllers work on Mivec? I will get a true custom tune once Hack releases his software and play around Mivec settings.

Aldo I guess the golden question is, how does the cam feel on the ol but dyno?

The best way to put it...it wasn't a kick in the pants like I was expecting, but rather the power delivery was so smooth I couldn't believe it, all the way through the high rpm range. That wasn't there before, as I remember my car would have power loss around 5500 rpms. . And to Ed's point I do think upping Mivec to the 4.4K range would be most beneficial for power in that area. This was not an aggressive cam, Lanzer would be able to give a better review of such as he plans on getting a 272/272 style cam.

184whp is very good on Lancers
With the Mirage ECU i have squeezed 180whp on stock camshaft but it isn't the same.
Stock ecu has many restrictions Mirage one doesn't

About VTEC and MIVEC, well yes the way they are activated is the same.
The oil pressure that pushes the rockers lock pins is held by a solenoid.
This solenoid has switched 12v and the ECU sends NEG when it reaches the programed RPMs

With a VTEC controller you hold that signal until desired RPMs same will do on MIVEC

MIVEC and VTEC activate the more aggressive cam profile different though based off of what I've read. VTEC is electronic whereas MIVEC is hydraulic. Here is the document that I've read on the MIVEC development http://www.mediafire.com/file/psozu3...evelopment.pdf or am I misunderstanding what you are saying?

I know the way they are mechanically designed is different but how they activate is the same
VTEC uses more aggressive cam profiles yes and it also has it in intake and exhaust cams
MIVEC is on the intake side and less aggressive
They both are activated via the solenoid

This is in only car I was able to find that has somewhat similar mods and has a dyno she. Two things I wanted to point out.

1. Compare my smooth curves to his. Reflash crushed the Haltech from this perspective. When you convert the dyno numbers this came out quite similar but he had more mods.
2. Any one ever questioned the tq graph...my math is telling me that converted to tq ft lbs he's putting down 745! WTF

His MIVEC activation point is too low
That why the graph suddenly goes down and then back up

BTW I ordered the same Stage 1 as Ralliartize It, i'll be testing it on cars that i have tuned before will show before and after graphs
