Car loses power around 5,800rpms
So I've changed the cam back to the oem one. I didn't notice any decrease in performance and now my car shifts perfect at WOT.
Once they were both out we measured them and here are the findings:
Delta cam
intake
37.39mm
exhaust
36.93mm
mivec
35.23
Stock
intake
37.41
exhaust
37.69
mivec
37.14

Also as Ralliartize It said, the power starts to go down at 5.5k RPM on OEM cam so rev's up to 7k are worthless unless a better CAM is installed.
This LINK takes you through some aspects of cam "theory" its an interesting read...also note:
" With a shorter exhaust duration to allow the gases to escape and an earlier intake closing which stops the fuel/air mixture which is trying to enter the cylinder at higher RPM and a wide lobe center angle, the engine reaches optimal running conditions around 2000-2500 RPM but quickly runs out of breath above about 4500-5000 RPM."
Obviously that's his example but you get the idea...with no data logging most of the questions wont be answered fast
that's the point they grinded the wrong lobe from the start.... and if they didn't even know what lobe to grind I highly doubt they knew what they were doing past that.... I'm disappointed , depressed, and feel screwed overall.
I would ask for a full refund or fix since the cam is not as per the specs they advertise...Certainly not good business for anyone thinking of buying their cams
Wow there were a lot of posts recently, I'm still trying to wrap my head around all of it. From my understanding, we found out that Delta may have messed up the cam? Sadly I can't really have my car down for another month with the mess up I had last time
On a side note, for those that have it, have you noticed that when you're not WOT you don't have the power loss. At least for me it happens. Like I can push it all the way without a loss in power. Maybe I'll do a recording just to make sure I'm not just thinking it.

Lanzer I will re-read the thread and draft a platform for discussion with Delta. I will email you what I am thinking. I don't want the thread to turn into a full-scale Delta bashing medium before I have a chance to speak with them
