i thought you replaced the input shaft bearing...that requires complete disassembly of the transmission...

 

Sorry should have said now i know for next time I take it apart..

 

So, the sound itself was not due to the release bearing but the flywheel itself. Apparantly it is not the correct flywheel for the ra and will not work with the new oem stock clutch. Which makes me wonder ralliartize it, what was this flywheel originally for lol?

 

Anyone happen to know what size bolt is for our stock flywheel?

 

M12x15.5mm, unsure of thread pitch...p/n MD368638

 

Just an update, after the shop replaced clutch there was still some noise. Tore apart tranny and replaced all bearings. Issue resolved.

Do you have part numbers for the bearings they changed ? Maybe on an invoice or similar ?

 

Nah the receipt just states lancer transmission bearing kit. They didnt write down any numbers.
