Hey, I have a 04 RA i just bought with 100k miles. I got it for only $1,000 because guy said it makes a wierd noise.
has clutch problem , im hoping someone can pin point the problem for me , even thou im planning to replace the entire clutch system .
The car sounds perfectly fine when the cluch is in , when u realse the clutch u get alot of noise from it but not really a grind or a squeal its like somthimg hard clanking around in a dryer. Noise continues 1s gear through 3rd gear but will go away when goimg fast in those gears or higher gears.
Im planning to replave the whole clutch , not going for more performance thou im looking just to make it a little stronger than OEM , what all would i need i wantto replace EVERYTHING in the clutch all bearings and seals ????.

If you have a grinding issues at higher rpms, i think it may be a timing issue instead of your clutch.
On my Ralliart, the timing belt and balance belt was changed by the previous owner and was done wrong. The balance shaft is off and therefore the engine shakes at high RPM. My gears sounds like they are grinding after 5k rpm.
