thanks for the reference pic, I was afraid someone was gonna ask for one, now they can't. The cord will let it reach the latch part, but that doesn't qualify as a hanger. whats the deal?

Arkansas? Might as well be Canada. In Alabama if we don't have an old wife beater to stuff in there we just jam a Skoal can lid over it. Everbody carries a siphoning hose "just in case."

I was referring to the pic. and it does appear that we got gipped. Thanks for the info anyway, with some of the info I got here if I feel the need I can use the cord to hand the cap over the door latch.

It works on our doors. Just use the lip at the top of the fuel door, I did it today and it works like a charm, held better than the cord over the latch method.
