white smoke??
Evo guy here, but thought i could help out. White smoke is normally coolant getting into the cylinder heads and then being burned in the combustion chamber. Also check to make sure it really is white. It could look white, but actually be a light blue. That would really suck, because that would be oil. Its really hard to diagnose the problem because it could be anything from leaky valves and seals, etc, to a completely blown headgasket, but if it was that severe then you'd be overheating and other stuff and the car would really run like crap... Or does it? Let us know more as far as how the cars been acting like sluggish or low on oil/coolant stuff like that.
Agreed with EVO guy... Also, if you have CAI or SRI did you recently oil the filter? I run a dry filter on mine, but its a thought... How many miles do you have? Do you change your oil regularly?
Exactly, I've never seen a positive post from an EVO driver in the RA section.

I've heard the mivec naturally burns a small amount of oil. My friends tell me there's a puff of smoke from my exhaust when I launch. That was at 25K I'm at 50K now and no change in performance of the car.
How much white smoke are we talking about here? Just a quick puff is probably nothing. If you smoke-screened the guy behind you, then there's a problem.
You could sniff your oil to see if you smell coolant, and check your coolant for oil. If you wanted to really be sure, you could do a compression check. Also, could pull and visually inspect your spark plugs to see if any are fouled.
