Southgate Mitsubishi could not look at the car today because they could not get it into a bay up on a hoist to look at it. They need the hoist that is even with the garage door so they can put it in there from the flat bed.

I think they are just starting to play hardball because they can't figure out what to do.

If they don't look at it tomarrow I'm calling Fox 2 problem solvers

I can call them and tell them if they don't help you that will be a blacklisted dealership listed on miEVO. There is no excuse, you are without a freaking car and you could have been in serious injury.

Sounds like a good idea Joe. I'll see what they do tomarrow. I almost understand that the bay was taken up, their set up there really only would allow a tow truck with my car to access one of their lifts. If they pull the crap tomarrow, I'll PM you, and I'm going to call Fox 2 problem solvers.

I'm also going to the doctor tomarrow. My lower back is really tense and I had to ask somebody to pick up my back pack and set it on the desk because my back hurt when i tried lifting it from the floor. Walking across campus also hurt pretty bad.

seriously get legal rep and file a complaint (the document that states you intend to sue). they will have that car inspected, looked at, and poured over by so many people as soon as your lawyer contacts them.

my family has been doing cases like this for decades, if you want everything you are entitled to in a timely fashion, your best bet is in the court room

with this kind of case you would almost always settle out of court. a trial would mean publicity and more money for them, which they don't want. A lawyer and the intent to take legal action will get you what you want. hope it all works out well

only problem is the only lawyer i know works for the state, so he is not allowed to take a case like this. I dont want to end up spending money at this point and time. I gave them the benifit of the doubt today.

mmm i just been thinnking, what signs should i look for for problems like this so i can pick it up before anything dangerous happens. and that also may help other people who dont know what to look for.

because i have lowered king springs in mine(with stock shocks and stuff) so that might cause more wear, i had them put in at about 5000km and the guy said just wait till i get the most out of the stockies before replacing the shocks

if you look at I believe the 5th picture down on the second page, where that metal peeled back, That appeared to be the point of failure on my car, and the guy from PR. Look at the weld on the front of that. If the weld is cracking take it in. Only problem is, when i looked at it, the remainder of the weld there appeared to be uniform the whole length, which would mean that the weld was not penatrating. The only way to test for that would be to sonic test it, but I dont think you have access to a couple thousand dollar peice of equiptment to do that. Watch for a recall in the near future. Also, if you are worried, take it in to the dealership and tell them the story and show them the pictures. I'm sure they will have a mechanic look at it for you

RAWR! I went to the dealership today when I got out of class. They still didn't have a lift available. They've had my car for nearly a week, and have done nothing.

Hell, they probably got it on the lift the first day they had it, inspected it, and reported the results up their food chain. They're probably just telling you they haven't looked at it while they wait for a decision from higher up.

Otherwise, they're just sticking it in your @zz and breaking it off. No way they couldn't free up that particular lift for a few hours.

yah their shop wont really allow them to get a flat bed in there to put my car on a lift. It hasn't moved yet. Its still sitting in the exact spot that it was dropped off in on Friday morning. The fluid drips under it don't show that it has been moved.

wow that is rediculous. if you search there is lots of lawyers who would take this case and only charge you if they reached a settlement or won. thats what my family does.

they are obviously not taking you seriously. go to the papers, get a lawyer, put some pressure on. think about what would have happened if you had been going 65 mph

Thumbs down

ok the genious (retard) service manager at the dealership says that it will cost at least $5100 just to make the car roll, that doesnt acount for the rear suspension damage, the stearing damage, and the motor mounts / clutch damage. They still haven't decided to total it yet

Step 1: http://www.mievo.net/talk/showthread.php?t=1270
Step 2: Call the dealership and speak to the service manager, I will hold off to do this until tommorow. Please PM me your name so I can at least reference the car I am complaining about.

Ninja, I can relate. I dont mean to hijack the thread, but DeNooyer Mitsubishi here in Albany had my car for 3 weeks last year to replace wheel berrings! And their dealeships policy is they dont give loaner cars. At first they had to order them, and I can understand that. Then they broke parts and had to order those AND had the nerve to tell me it was my fault that the new parts to be replaced broke. ( Yes Im sure its my fault sensors broke but were working fine when i dropped the car off 2 weeks prior ) The one day they called me while I was at school to tell me it was done. I get there and the guy told me "We have to replace your whole left front axle assembley" Needless to say, I flipped out and I was told I would be "escorted" of the premises if necessary, and I went ballistic. This Southgate place reminds me of them.
