Tom Defeo of Keffer Mitsubishi in Huntersville NC gave me 1-888-908-6672 as the customer service number for mitsu when I was having issues with my free timing belt I never had to use it, but it is supposed to be how you complain. (I saw you asked for it on miEVO but am not registered on that site) I do think it is time for you to stop being polite. How old are you? Age has alot to do with how these dealerships treat you, until you let them know you that YOU know you have the upper hand.

(body shop manager) : I see $5300, but I can't see the motor mount or the rear end suspension, but I don't see any exterior damage because the car is dirty, aside from the front bumper.

He also said "it could be months before we look at it"

he must have overlooked the fender then, because it is quite obviously damaged. I can't stand dealership people.

Edit: and I would tell him if he is having problems diagnosing the car because it is dirty then he needs to find a new job, and should also feel free to wash it since I am sure it hasn't gotten any cleaner sitting in the lot for over a week. I almost don't want to keep reading this thread because it pisses me off.

Ok I've been driving my mom's car back and forth to college. She works about a half mile from our house and has to walk on days when me and my brother are at school all day. Listen what the dealer has to say about this

"your son should find his own way to school since you are already paying for his tuition"

we've never told him that my parents are paying for my tuition. As a matter of fact I've paid for my first year and a half with scholarships.

The dealership has no right to pry into our person lives, or tell us how to use the vehicle

What the hell? They should be providng you with a loaner until they make it right. Did you buy the car at this dealership? This is ridicolous. If you bought the car there then by warranty they must provide a vehicle during the time it is pending repair. If your anything like me you don't get mad but rather you try to work with them. Sometimes you have to start pushing no matter what. Its not like they like you, I mean look what you brought to them. They are treating you like this is your fault. I don't think so.

Does your insurance cover a rental car? If it does I would take advantage. You need some wheels. With comments like those I would be calling Corporate back and saying this dealership is being unacceptable.

You also have me considering playing a prank call saying I am from the Better Business Bureau and I am investigating a case that happens to be yours. I will demand that there must be a resolution within 10 business days from the event. Otherwise I will open up their business to a full probe investigation. I don't think they will like that very much.

After my meltdown in the service department when they told me I'd be escorted out, the person in charge got me a loaner( over 2 weeks into not having a car). Demand to talk to who this guy answers to and tell them that in the future you'll have nothing but negative comments towards their delearship and will refer everyone to other places of business. I ended up speaking with the owner Tom DeNooyer and later that day I recieved a phone call letting me know they would pay for a loaner car for me. It might work for you too? Just an idea. Man I hate dealerships...

They still haven't offered me a loaner car for free. This dealership also just moved their shop to another place, and have Rowan Pontiac-GMC body shop there. They are dent repair people... checking out mechanical damage! WTF?!

When I brought my car in, they had actually just closed the Mitsubishi garage and I had to bring mine to the other building and into the Dodge garage. This was early 2006, and when I brought the car in, when I picked it up I was waiting for them in the Mitsu building showroom to pull my car around to the front, one of the employees there was asking me about my car, when I informed him it was a ralliart, he responded with "Those are already out?" Needless to say I was more than disgusted with their whole establishment. They did the same thing with me saying if I wanted a loaner car I'd have to pay for it. After I talked to the owner they changed their tune.

hmm wow that lower control arm broke nearly identical to mine. Do you know the full story on what happened, as well as the actions the dealership took?

CF-Ninja, I'm usually not an advocate of lawsuits but not only do you have one of the best documented cases around with police witness, but you're also getting shafted by the dealership. Why haven't you gotten a Lawyer involved by now? You don't have to have the lawyer be a family friend you know. Maybe your lawyer buddy that works for the state could make a good referral for you. Play times over, move up to the big league and take action.

lawyers will get involved soon enough. I want the dearlership to cover it on warrenty and give me a replacement. If they try charging my insurance, lawyers will be involved.

My dealership has told me that if the repair is over an 8 hour job, then they provide the rental. IDK if that is a dealership policy or a Mitsu policy (probably dealership), but it sounds as though your dealership is trying to figure a way out of helping you at all.

Hate to say it, but I agree Shiroboi and Joe. Time to get serious and bring in the big dogs: 1. Dealership owner, 2. Mitsu, 3. BBB, 4. Lawyers. They are treating you like $hit and shouldn't be. This was not your fault.

yeah the longer you wait the weaker your case gets. getting a lawyer should be the second thing you do after getting out of the hospital especially in a case like this
