Increase torque
So I've got a few mods of which I'll list.
RRM Pulley
RRM CAI
RPW Headers/Downpipe and High Flow Cat
2.25" Cat back w/ 2 resonators and 2.25" Magnaflow Muffler.
The car hasn't been dyno'd and I know the car is hungry for more torque.
Do you all know what would be the next best thing that would increase a more torquey car. Don't get me wrong, the torque is good at about 3500-4000rpm (loss of low end torque due to catback) and healthy on rolling starts.
But what would be the next best mod to increase a more healthy torque range? I was thinking upgrade:
1. ECU
2. Intake Manifold
3. Torque Dampner
4. Something else?
What would be the better road to take in order? Cheers

Get in touch with David at RPW and ask about the Throttle Body
but I am thinking that you may need to look first at getting some engine management... as the next lot of mods that you get will need something to help compensate for the lack of a return fuel line... and it will also unlock a few extra hp

definately the ecu - you have quite a good selection of performance mods which are giving you very good gains but by having the ecu this will help maximise those gains and make the engine work more efficiently and effectively because you can now change the injection etc and the degree of timing - how much extra that you will get will largely depend on your tuner more than the mods that you have on the car - you could see an extra 15hp+ maybe more but the throttle response an possible low end torque will be improved
The intake manifold and T.B will only increase the volume of air entering the engine keeping in mind you have also increased the volume of air exiting the car which is exiting faster than what is entering the engine... as for how much cooler the air entering will be will largely depend upon the design of the intake pipework and were it is coming from and what other work you do to minimalise the engine bay temps....
hope this has made sense

As always, makes sense Christine
I think I may hold off the Short Shifter and IM. I may go ECU.
I can't justify spending $1350+tuning AUD for an ECU, when RRM costs $459USD pretuned.

^ just becareful and check that there is someone close by that can tune and modify the RRM piggy back and that the pins on the factory ecu will match up - as i am led to believe that there is differences between the two I checked on one of the threads that shows ECU pinout and they have been checked against the JDM/AUD cars there is a difference so this may mean that you will have to cut and splice the wires...
Also you will need to check which RON fuel they use on there programs and compare it to the Australian RON for eg, the US 91 RON is a different value to our Australian RON...
I am sure that RRM will be able to clarify all of this stuff for you before you buy it

i remember sending dave a PM about the throttle body.. and i haven't gotten a response yet. i'm interested in the oversized throttle body and how much it would cost.. but still nothing yet..
Hey mitsumivec, yeah Dave usually recieves heaps of e-mails and is quite a busy guy but yeah it still doesn't justify him not replying, from a customers perspective anyway lol.
If I see him, I'll mention it to him that you emailed him. I'll also ask for shipping to Riverside, California and get total price.
Cheers

I'm pretty sure that they only have one size TB which is a 65mm. I'm not too sure of what the gains would be but if you match it up with a p&p IM and throw the spacers in when you put it all together you should see some pretty decent gains.
