Haltech Tuned - Interceptor on the way!
Well with the haltech none of that will be a problem, and best of all with the duel mapping ability, it can be setup where you can do a tune with the mivec point set to factory standard, and then set the mivec change point to a highre position which woudl also activate the duel mapping option at the same time, with a different set of maps to accomdate the mivec change point.
That way you can have a cruise map and a race map as such accomodating the two different mivec points. Just flick a switch and you do it all automatically.

Hey all, an update.
So the interceptor has already been installed and was being put on the dyno.
I had the option to pick the car up today but wanted everything to be perfect and not rushed. So tomorrow I'll be headed down to Haltech and hopefully share some thoughts with this ecu and shed some light on the performance.
Should be fun
Cheers

Above are full specs of the ECU Intercetpor package.
The harness is a simple 15 wire harness, although you will only be using around 8 of those wires on this vehicle in its most basic setup.

Okay another update.
Recieved the car back today. I'll just give a quick review.
Firstly, I won't be able to take pictures of the harness as it is hidden behind the glove box and I'll have to remove the cover to have the ecu in full view - sorry!
In saying that, I am very very pleased with the results and so are Haltech. The 4G69 had a healthy increase of 15-20kw atw. The increase was quite impressive throughout the entire rev-range. In addition, torque was also increased throughout the entire revband.
The car now really is more responsive and pulls quite impressively from the get-go or from a rolling start. I am very happy with Haltech and RPW for giving me the opportunity.
These are my mods before ECU:
RRM Cold Air Intake
RPW Header/Downpipe + High Flow Cat
2.25" CBE + Magnaflow Muffler
RRM Pulley
PLEASE ANSWER: The car dyno'd 109.4kw atw. Does this seem right as I did see in this thread https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ght=dyno+chart that stock RAs dyno around 146hp atw which is about 108kw. Can anyone shed some light on this?
I was hoping for more but am pleased with results. I also got the Haltech shifter light installed
(All eyes on road now!)
I'll be posting up the dyno chart.
Cheers!

That is a great result... you should be very pleased with that....
I think you are getting the kw and hp a little confused 1 kw is equal to 1.33hp or revert it back and it is 1hp is equal to .73kw (or something very close to that)
So now your car has 145hp... I am guessing that your car as stock like mine was about 110hp atw
There is a small difference in power ratings between the U.S.D cars versus the JDM. again congratulations that is a great result now you are ready for the cam shaft and the other nice intake mods

Hey Christine, so I took the car for another spin later today and all I am absolutely very happy with the result. What is the power ratings between USD and our own?
There is a very healthy increase in low-end, second gear is absolutely responsive oppose to before when I had the CBE, second gear lost alot of low-end torque.
Below is the dyno chart as promised.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I wish we would have converted like the rest of the WORLD after WWII. Ohhh well, let me google those conversion charts!
Your car is really turning out nice MITVRX.
109.4kW = 146.6hP
If that is right, does that mean you gained 5hP? I'm confused.
ps: good link for a conversion page. http://www.mr2ownersclub.com/converter.htm
