SES question

On my way to work today, while in traffic, my car died on take off. I thought it was odd and thought I must have just not had the clutch engaged enough(don't know when the last time i stalled was). I restart my car and have very little power and my SES light is now on. I limp off the road into a parking lot. No odd noises, smells or leaks of any kind. About 30 minutes go by and I restart my car and the light is no longer on and my car acts like nothing ever happened.

Is something near failure? What should I look for/onto?

You never got a CEL? If so that would be really helpful in figuring out what happened.

My car has done something similar during a few different scenarios so its kind of hard to say without some feedback from the computer.

You said the car had little power, and you limped off the road. Im assuming this means the car was in limp mode?

limp mode for sure...check battery terminals and make a mental note, without a code, you'll never know...

during the time the car was off i looked around the engine bay for signs of problems. i wiggled vaccum lines and the air box and also checked fluid levels. everything seemed fine, but i did have my suspension done last friday and maybe something was bumped loose? i have no clue.

are the battery terminals loose at all? check all your grounding wires as well...if a sesnor failed or the output was out of range, you would have a code...there may even be a pending code, where the ECU detected an error, but it takes more than one instance of the error to trigger the light...

if ti were me...i'd get codes pulled...
depending if/what code(s) you find i'd ignore it untill it happened again...(so let us know if/what codes u find, if u get any pulled)

double check your terminal cables at the battery...since my bought the car(~3.5 yrs ago) i thought mine were fine and tight and i went to disconnect the battery one time(about a year ago), and realized the negative terminal was tight and ok, wich they were....only enough till u gave it a good wiggle and it would pop right off the battery...(so i put a new terminal on when i replaced the battery...)
