Ralliart Lancer vs. (insert model) [MERGED]
Stock for stock, who has the 1/4th and the 0-60? Also against those pesky ex with minor bolt ons (I/E) how do they fair against a stock ralli-art? How's the raill-art feel and handle with an intake and exhaust and a chip?
You'd be able to take down an EX, stock or minor Bolt-ons, no prob.
Si? I raced one with the previous (good) design with I/E...keep in mind I have an auto as well, and we stayed dead even until 115. So with a manual, you should be able to take an SI stock for stock.

I find that when I start at about 2000-2500 and let the clutch off pretty smooth it gets a really good shot off the line. If it's higher then that or I engage the clutch to quickly my tires slip. If it's lower than that I don't get enough torque to power off the line. I don't use any type of braking tricks.
Anyone can explain to me why on my 05 ralliart the Mivec kicks in at 4000rpm instead of 3500. On 2nd and 3rd gear, its very easily noticeable that im not getting anything until 4000 rpm. I hear it and I can feel it. Isnt it supposed to be at 3500 instead?
Here's a question for the auto guys. When you race do you just floor it off the line and keep it down or do you do something to get a better launch (IE brake torque)?

As far as the new Si's go I wasn't impressed at all with them the old ones IMO are way better cars and I'm still having trouble getting over that shift comming out of the dash... (looks like the car grew a dick) I can't stand that at all and the sedan version they had looked way better than the new hatch

I don't exactly floor it, but let it get up to the 3500-4000 rpm area before flooring, because then when I've got it to the ground the MIVEC's working... That's what I've found kinda works the best, until I perfect my brake torque technique!!!!

LOL I tried brake torquing in my old car (carbureted 1980s heap), all it did was hesitate when I let go of the brakes.
