1998 Nissan 200SX SE-R's only have about 140hp or something?
Spec V and Sentra SE-R with 165 hp came out in 2002.

SE-R = 165
Spec V = 175

This is also known, but the older Sentra SE-R is also a known car to perform better than its HP numbers indicate. I have always liked em and I am actually a little suprised at how badly I walked on his car. But still, nuttin but love for the older SE-R.

In 2002, the Sentra and the 200SX changed over to brand new chassis.
Nissan 200SX (pre 2002 cars) and other Nissan Sentras of the time were made on the B14 chassis and had the KA24DE engine (I think) which actually put out 155 hp.
Today's Nissan Sentra's (the Sentra SE-R and the Sentra SE-R Spec V) are on the new B15 chassis and get the QR25DE engine, which put out, as you say, 165 hp and 175hp.

I'm a bit of a Nissan nut (heh, I just like import cars).
But totally agreein' with ya. Nuthin but love for the older SE-R.

Sentra Se-R's (I had a '92 Sentra SE-R and a '98 200 SX Se-R) has the SR20 engines. The K24 was the 2.4 liter motor found in the rear drive 240sx and was based on Nissan's small pick up truck motor. The Sr20's were (and still are) one of the most rediculously overbuilt motors in history, easily accepting turbocharging and other mods w/o internal mods - they are bulletproof on the bottom end. At 140 hp they were light, free-spinning, high revving and smooth motors.

Ralliart v.s. Mazda 3

So yeah, I test drove Mazda 3 today and I test drove the **** out of it (shhhhh it was my girlfriends don't tell her) and I gotta say.... I'm really happy that I bought a Ralliart.

The only thing I really liked about the Mazda 3 was the shifting. I find it's not as "clunky" as ours, but other than that I honestly don't think I would ever purchase one. There really is not a comparision between the two. Maybe thats just my biased opinion.

Yea...I gotta agree. I test drove the Mazda 3 on the same day that I test drove the Ralliart jsut to see. I have to admit, I was a bit taken by the Mazda's appearance over hte RA. But wow...what a difference in driving! I'm glad I bought the RA too. Wouldn't change that at all,no sireee.

My roommate has a 3 and he was gonna hit the track against a club member with a ralli///art. I'll post as soon as they get results. I do know my roommate was running 16.4s with the AEM CAI.

16.4 is that at high altitude? Or does he suck or does the car suck?
