Drivers being equal, the RA will walk away from the TC. I also believe the Lancer platform in general to be superior to the TC chassis... I mean, hello, the EVO is on the same platform as us! (albeit heavily modified)

Only thing that gives us problems in our class is the RSX-S and the Celica GTS. Spec V's make for a good run too.

True on the rsx-s, but I heard somebody here beat a GTS w/ there stock RA, i wonder who it was? Only reason why a gts beats us is because its lighter, if both cars weighted the same the RA would take it. SpecV... if they didnt loose so much power to the wheels they could own us.

Don't know if this has been answered, but what about a mid - late 90's stick eclipse GS with I/E?

Or a civic hatch with a b16a swap and a I/H/E?

Of course a good driver in an RA can beat a poor/mediocre driver in any of these cars. That would explain the GTS.

The Eclipse N/A with an I/E probably still wouldn't beat the RA, since Eclipses are quite heavy

And the Civ with a B16a would depend on how much tuning was done to the motor for the swap... drop one in an EJ and it's light enough it'd likely beat us, even at stock HP. Drop in a b18c and we're DONE.

Brain fart... My old neon had the same engine as the GS, but is like 300-400lbs LIGHTER, and I haven't run the two cars back to back, but I don't think my old car will take my new one in a straight line... AT ALL. That's with I/E/H too. The RA is still stock too.

The launch with an auto is huge. Floor it VS brake torque and you lose at least half a second, if not more. I should test that, go for a 0-100KPH run by flooring it, and then do it again with a brake torque.

you can easy beat a spec-v if you get a good launch, i launch at low rpms (1500-2000) at 2500-3500 rpm, my ralliart just burns the tires.
