09 WRX is a great car, i was reading that and was like, huh?

Believe it or not, the platforms do make a difference.
Why do you think Subaru went with the wagon version in the first place for the STI?
WRC has been seeing alot of Hatchback winning over sedans.
There is a difference.

But you didn't orginally post it.
Due to the fact that you favor the WRX, you didn't mention that it, too, comes in a wagon.
ANd you can compare the X to the R/A for all i care.
Not going to bother me at all. I could have gotten an X or a R/A.
I chose what i needed.

I said i was merely pointing out how you neglected the fact that your favortism and peeves doesn't include the WRX wagon.
That is all.
Nothing wrong with it, but pointing out the 2 differences in your post.
If we are going to look at numbers and relations, comparison in a non-biased POV.

I never mentioned a WAGON in my original post, in a subsequent post I mentioned that I hated wagons when I gave my personal rank of the 7 cars tested. Purely subjective, not objective. Just performance based and looks I can live with. I listed the RA as #2 mostly because I like the looks. But when I can get a better performing car by a significant amount, for a price significantly less, that is where my older, rational brain takes over.

Who cares if the WRX ALSO comes in a wagon, does that somehow diminish the car vs. the RA?
WRX vs. RA bang for the buck.

Lets see, 13% better 0-60 time, 5% better 1/4 time, 7% higher trap speed, 10% better gas mileage, 10% better stopping, 6% better lateral handling, AND ALL THAT for 12% cheaper!!

There is nothing wrong with the RA, it is just not a great deal if you are into performance.

Great, so that means the WRX wagon should even be a little better. I just do not see wagons as looking sporty. JUST MY OPINION.

I know that, that is why i am posting the
"What does that make the WRX" comment?

AND I am not making a comparison to the R/A.
I never even mentioned the R/A. My entire post was based on your thoughts with the review from C&D, That's all.

From the moment that we heard that the 09 WRX was going to get a tune, i was the first to state that the R/A will be whipped by the 09 WRX and i had no problem with that fact.

The WRX comes in a wagon or sedan.
Which one would you get, DBOZ?
Just out of curiosity. the sedan, right?
cause you hate wagons. lol

Yes, the sedan. If they only made a wagon, I would go RA because I want AWD!!! Maybe I will try to hold out a year and see if MITSU can answer with some big improvements, but with the current economics, I doubt they will put more money into the RA so soon.

I dunno really about it.
I been seeing it on WRC, if it REALLY makes a big difference, i don't know.
Then all of a sudden Subaru drops the STI in a HB version.

I was just pointing it, no offense to you.

I guess you would have to use a criteria on your own. Some people just look at acceleration numbers and don't care babout anything else, if that is the case then the WRX would take it but if you were looking for gas mileage and warranty then the Mini would take it, the Cobalt would made a mix of both(fastest on the track and one of the best in gas mileage).

Botton line each car shines on one or more aspects, is up to you to analize what car is best for what. My .2c

def.
That's why i am not concerned about the 09WRX or Ms3 reviews.
I tested them all numerous times and i just ended up being with the R/A.
Just works for me.
Or why get a R/A when you can get an X comment.

DBOZ is going to get a 09WRX wagon.
LOL

the driver will win the race in this comparison. So you dont have to worry, if you are a better driver.
The best mods for your car is your skill.

There is nothing wrong with the RA, it is just not a great deal if you are into performance.
You forgot to mention 100% uglier All kidding aside, you made good points except that the price difference isn't 12%. A base WRX sedan starts at $25,660 including destination fees. The base RA is $27,185 with destination. That's a difference of roughly 6%. This is for a stripped out base WRX that doesn't even come with fog lights, only cheap plastic covers over the holes. Even the base RA has fog lights, not to mention standard Bluetooth. The WRX has better seats compared to the base RA seats, but the optional Recaros in the RA are better. Even when you start adding options, the difference stays at around 6%. A WRX premium is $28,160 and an RA with Recaro package is $29,935. With navigation, the WRX jumps to $30,160 and the RA jumps to $31,934. The price difference isn't that much, but the WRX is still a little cheaper and seems to perform better. They're both a good bang for the buck but for different reasons. The WRX is a better bang for the buck in terms of performance, but the RA is a better bang for the buck in terms of technology and features. They're both good cars and you can't really go wrong with either.
