they're really trying for this, should be hot.
as far as the ralliart, 2 stories going around the dealership here. sales end is getting excited about changes, but they're all still a big maybe. district parts and service rep says we'll see very little change in the RA for 2011.
we can all hope as much as we want, because all of these changes would be awesome, but only time will tell the real truth

All we can really do is sit and wait
but 8 moths should be little time and maybe people should hold off if they're thinking of buying a 2010 Evo or RA
Yep...don't want to believe this but I was there with Jazket when the manager was revealing this information to us. I almost felt it to be a slap in the face because had I known this...I surely would have held out for a 5-speed model lol.
Hey all,
UPDATE: Completed stage 1, 100% stock with custom tune today:
Had to do the baseline again as our dyno computer crashed and we lost the data.
This is a custom tune, the car is still 100% stock down to the paper filter. It also has no boost pill upgrade yet.
223 whp / 241 wtq
This is now making about the same horsepower as a stock Evo 10 on our dyno.

lol @ RA smoking Evo debate... you can tune an evo for just as much. When you get those RAs to be in the 330whp area without dropping transmissions, then you can compare them being faster than Evos.
Either way, I'm not sure if I can believe this stuff just yet. And not sure why they'd wait till 2013 to bring the colt over. That's insane. I mean if they are serious about it, get it over here!

Well, there have been rumors swirling around that the Evo will either get discontinued in the US or it is going to evolve into a hybrid performance car like what a couple of magazine articles mentioned. Who knows, maybe the Ralliart will be more like the traditional petrol-powered Evo, while the Evo goes green (but still hardcore)!
The only part if this that I can see holding some truth is the 5-speed. The Yokohama tires will probably be going the way of the dodo as well, at least they should be. Enkei wheels SHOULD be an option, but I wouldn't hold my breath for that either.
Upgraded brakes would be nice, though.

And really, if these changes are for the 2011, it is two years after. And, regardless, most car models change with every year. The 2009 RA has an amber display; the 2010 RA has a color display. Minor changes, I'll grant you, but changes nonetheless.
Furthermore, none of these are Earth-shattering changes: Adding a MT option is not a huge change. Adding fender flaring is not a huge change. Increasing the power by 12 hp (at the crank) and a few lb/ft of torque is a very minor change (tuners have been getting better results just tweaking the maps since day one). Adding a wheel option is also not a big deal (and even less so if they increase fender flaring.
