Yeah it only happens on mildly cold days, where its warm enough to rain/sleet, but cold enough to freeze on the car.

Otherwise on cold days, everything is fine unless I get stuck at a light or in traffic, giving snow a chance to melt on my windshield.

Complaints:

Heated seat switch in stupid spot
Cheap interior material
No telescopic steering adjustment
TPMS does not allow a second set of sensor to be added (summer/winter rims)
Stock tires are too narrow
Stock brakes should stop the car in under 120 ft
You have to hold the ASC button down for 5 seconds to turn it off
Large delay when manual shifting at high RPMs
Mitsubishi claims thier cars don't need block heater in Canada, and to put one in the manifold needs to be removed +$300 job
Turbo cars should have a 5-5-5 Warranty.

Even from some girls.

Mitsubishi Lancer RATTLEart

I am getting so pissed off at all the rattling in this car. It is stockers.

First:
I had the passenger window tsb done - that was rattling because of the under torqued bolt.

Second:
The front of the CD player - the screen - rattles like a mother. Its extremely loud - have to hold the screen where the time is displayed to stop it doing it.

Third:
The instrument panel rattles, I am pretty sure it is the left side of the plastic cover.

Forth:
The whole dash - as in the piece under the front windscreen sounds like its rattling.

Now drumroll for the fifth:
When the car is driving along - and you shift into 6th at around 40mph - and your foot is on the gas - it rattles - loudly. It sounds like the 6th gear is ****ed. This also happens in fully automatic mode - if you are driving around 40 in 6th, then take your foot off the gas - it wont go into 5th till about 35mph or so - if you let the speed drop then accelerate gently between 36-45mph in 6th it will rattle like hell. This is the only time it happens - the rest of the time at other speeds the tranny sounds fine.
To recreate the effect loudly - do 30mph in 5th gear - and accelerate briskly - when you hit 40mph put it in 6th - it rattles loud as hell.

Am I the only one? Can I have a new tranny please Mitsu? lol

It's a mitsubishi, crap rattles in my evo too. It's more noticeable in the cold because of shrinkage.

Then again because of my exhaust, stuff will rattle in the cup holder if theres something light in it, and the same goes for some other spots..

I also have an aftermarket headunit and I only use it with an iPod and nothing else. My brother has the stock headunit in his evo and only uses cd's. He's on his third stocker because the rough ride beats the crap out of it.

13,000 KMs, and yes, everything rattles like a **** :/

Especially the dash, but I hear all kinds of random rattling coming from the back seat area every now and then. Is there anything we can do about this?

No rattling, no noise, none of what you guys are experiencing. Then again, I'm still stock @ 10,000 miles.

My rear window rattles like a mother because of my exhaust. Like others said, light stuff in the cup holders or ash tray rattle too. Other than my exhaust making stuff rattle everything seems pretty tight.
