Would this work for the ralliart?

Could i do this in my ralliart to have my parking lights run as DRL. I am in Canada, therefore have to have DRL. Right now my HIDs are on all the time, but would rather just have them on when I need them. Also, if anyone knows the Canadian laws, would LED parking lights be sufficient enough to prevent the cops from pulling me over? Thanks.

1- AFAIK, DRL are halogens. Why are you saying your HIDs are ON all the time?
2- Why would you do that? To me, running with parking lights only is uglier than parking lights + DRLs.
To each his own, but I would keep the money and trouble for something else...
