This would apply if it was a Ralliart specific thread, but it was not. The question was specifically how the Ralliart compares to the WRX. Unless you want people to lie, to answer that questions requires people to speak about another car and how it compares to the Ralliart. In this case, the other car performs better. Once again, there is also a major difference between a statement of fact and picking a fight.

 

This thread was in fact orginally a RA specific thread...specific in that it was about what one publication (top gear) had to say about the RA. There was NO mention of the WRX in the orginal post or thread title. You took an off topic comment and turned it into a reason to cause a fight in a forum. Not only that but the orginal off topic comment was I wanna see a video...not I want amby's opinion on the matter...so you were in fact NOT even answering a question. An answer to the question/request would have been a link to said video.

Actually, no, I didn't turn it into a fight. Other people took my comment, one that should not have been controversial given that it was based on data that is now 3 years old, and decided it was an insult against the Ralliart, and by extension, Ralliart owners. It was not my opinion, it was fact. It was based on the reviews and comparison results of three separate and independent publications. I was specifically answering the question of how the Ralliart compares to the WRX.

No the orginal question was to see a video...not to have you make a snarky remark which caused this whole fight. You did not in fact answer the Mag's request as he said he wanted to see a video...not told to do a search and be told that the WRX wins...with no spoiler tags no less. So nope, did not answer the question...picked a fight not answering said question. There was NEVER a request to answer how the RA compares to the WRX before you picked your fight.

 

How was my comment "snarky"? Was it factually incorrect? Was it exaggerating? Was it "mean"? Was it embellished with personal opinion or bias? No, it was none of those things. It was a factual statement qualified with a call to exercise personal preference when deciding between the two vehicles. I provided clear sources supporting what I said, and critically, what I said, was not my opinion.

I never said to do a search, I said that comparison has been done before and, rather than go into massive detail, in which case I'm sure you would have some other BS to say about my post, I jumped to the chase. The original poster of that comment has not asked for more information or anything like that, instead you have apparently decided to step in for him.

Now then, I'm no big city lawyer, but it's pretty clear if someone wants to see a video comparing the Ralliart to the WRX, they are wondering how the Ralliart compares to the WRX. That is exactly the question I answered. You know full well if I had gone into more detail, you or any of the other Ralliart drivers in this thread would be equally as pissed. I provided sources and people are still pissed. In short, if anything is said that can possibly be construed as insulting or negative against the Ralliart, people will get pissed. It's hilarious.

Well obviously your not a big city lawyer if you can't tell a request to see a video does not mean I want your opinion of the contents of said video. I want to see the new johnny depp movies doesn't mean I want you to tell me what you think of jonny depp.

 

Again, it wasn't my opinion, it was the results of comparisons by 3 separate sources. If you don't like those results, feel free to contact their respective providers.

Now then, if the poster asked for videos comparing the cars, it's pretty clear he wanted to know how the cars compared. Yes I could have dug up videos, in which case, people would still be *****ing and moaning about how I'm a troll and a hater. I already provided sources, they are there if people want them.

If you feel so strongly that videos should have been provided, why don't you do it? You're posts have done nothing but continue the fight you claim I picked. Just amazing. How would you propose posting data, which comes in one form and one form only, in a manner that won't **** off Ralliart owners? Fudge the numbers? This is hilarious, people are trying to go after me from whatever angle they can find. Initially I'm a hater for only posting bad things about the Ralliart, now posting facts and data is fine but it's because I have no class. Meanwhile, people are calling me an idiot, mocking my car choice and drawing into question my personal life yet no one is accusing them of having no class. It truly is an amazing thread.

 

This thread is done, clearly people have no desire to actually have a discussion about how the Ralliart compares to other cars in an honest and frank manner but instead only want to hear how great the car they happen to own is. I've made it clear over and over again, and it seems like the moderator who has entered the fray knows this, that deciding between the Ralliart and the WRX boils down to personal preference. Somehow, that still makes me the bad guy and a "hater". This thread exploded because people decided to make it personal.
