In cabin sound question.

It it supposed to be this loud inside the car? i can feel every little thing from the outside and it's really getting on my nerves lately. The inside of the car vibrates like its gonna break apart and the road noises it just is not even a smooth ride.

Some of you guys might say its a sport car but if you heard the inside it's insane also i have a problem when i come to a stop and accelerate again i hear a sort of clunk noise from the engine. This happens 5/10 times when i stop any advice is appreciated

Turn up the volume on the radio and possibly buy better riding/quieter tires if you're still running the factory rubber.

It's just the nature of the beast, unfortunately. At certain frequencies, different areas of my cabin vibrate. I keep a pair of safety glasses hanging on the rear-view mirror, and at certain ranges of RPM they vibrate...as well as the headliner right behind my head. I've gotten used to it.

But, then again, I'm probably a little predisposed to vibrations and noise coming from a double solid axle Jeep. Every bump, every vibration was transferred and multiplied thru the suspension, and this car is much quieter (besides the engine noise, which is to be expected) than that, in my opinion.

Didn't notice any of this on your test drives?

I personally think it adds to the character of the car. It's a sport sedan with an aggressive tone and stance. Like posted before, it's the nature of the beast.

If you want to 'cure' this, fill the doors with sound dampening material, line the firewall with the same material. Add some to the floors (under the carpet) and add some under the rear seats. I forget what the material is called right now, but it's popular.
