Long story short, I will be driving 45minutes away to get my new TurboXs turboback exhaust and boost pill installed. Can I drive my car 45 minutes back home to use my tactrix cable and flash to the GSTmap93 + pill + TBE or is it an Absolute 100% No-No to drive with a boost pill without an appropriate flash.

I could install the boost pill when I get home, but I don't have any tools and I would feel better having a professional do it. But, if its an absolute no-no, i'll do it myself.

Why not bring the tactrix cable and do it in the shops parking lot.

Only tools you need are pliers to open the clamps and something to push the stock pill out and new one in like a screw driver.

 

DO NOT !!!! I say again do not drive your car with the boost pill changed and no flash. Serious engine damage can occur. There is several posts about this as well as information about it on google.

There is a quality write up on here that explains exactly step by step how to install boost pill and flash your ecu. Anyone who can read is able to do this. A professional is not needed.
The boost pill might be small but it can create a mountain of issues if you drive it with no flash. I promise you if you drive with no flash and that pill is changed your risking that engine.

As far as the exhaust. I dont recommend driving with any new parts and no tune. That being said however normally it is ok for you to drive without a tune on the exhaust for a very short time. Stay out of the throttle and no wot sprints. As long as your not doing anything crazy it should be ok until you get to where your going.

Advice noted. I will either flash it in the parking lot or install it myself when I get home. Side note: I received my tactrix cable from a member on this forum tonight and downloaded my stock map on my laptop. This is seriously too much fun to pay a professional to do. : )
