OBX catback help

After fighting with the cat bolts to get them out for hours I finally got them out. I had a small leak at the cat and the mid pipe since the cat back pipe is 3 inch and the stock cat is 2.5. So I used the stock gasket the new gasket that came with the pipe and a new one I bought with copper gasket maker. Now that the leak sealed it was great. Little drone and vibrates in the car a little. It seemed to get better over the week. I drove it fine for a week than on Friday with all the snow melting and nice out I heard a noise banging under the car. I jacked it up and seen the pipe flange was nicking the driveshaft from the hanger moving it looked like. I used the stock hanger but had to put small pieces of hose on the metal pipe hangers with small hose clams to make sure they didn't fall off. There no knob like on the stock hanger at the end of it. I turned the mid pipe upside down from what I had it because it seemed to have a new more mm of clearance. No leaks now and has not hit the driveshaft again and hangers don't seem to move at all anymore. Only issue now is it seems the drone and vibrating has gotten worse in side the car. Any clue or ideas I might have not thought of yet? I'm thinking maybe a heat shield might be some of the issues. THANKS

My experience with OBX parts was... far lower than my expectations.

There is a 3" to 2.5" exhaust adapter (I will add it when I re-install my test pipe to the stock system... )

Yeah im starting to think the same thing. They put a flange that hits the driveshaft and the mid pipe is sitting on the heat shield. Its starting to rust too stainless lol

For what purpose because of the leak at the cat and mid pipe? I fixed that with a extra gasket and copper rtv. Only issues I still have is the mid sitting on the heat shield on the right side right after the cat and the flange hitting the drive shaft joint in the back. Would this adapter fix the heat shield or drive shaft joint problems? Got any links to the adapters your talking about to make sure were on the same page?
