If you're lowered at all the rubbing would probably be an issue. Probably even if you aren't. I say hit up a junk yard. That's what I'm gonna do whenever I get a chance. Or maybe I'll just spend the money on a set of eagle f1 all seasons. And then I wouldn't had to swap. It'd be nice to have a dedicated set for rallyx though with a set of winterforces!

225 60 18 is not designed for a passenger car. That is a light truck/suv fitment.

225 40 18 is the correct fitment for our rims if you are going to a 225.

Yeah I live up by Milwaukee. I have seen what happens to the "southern" states when they get snow or ice. Its like watching 3 year olds play hockey.

I'm using the factory wheels and factory Dunlops. Not sure how bad the yokos are in the winter, but the dunlops have been just fine. We had 4 inches of snow come down on one day and i havent gotten stuck. Its been -20 and -2 since then and the freezing and melting have made the roads absolutely scary. The ra is handling it like a champ.

Those of you spinning your cars out on winter roads need to learn how to drive.

I dont need awc awd and tcs to drive in the winter... Drove rwd-turbo s13 through 2 brutal winters and it was lowered 3".

Driving technique is very important...but if you hit the brakes on ice with snow tires then you stop, but on summer tires you don't stop.

I drove through an entire winter with the yoko summer tires on in 2008. I made it out fine. Albeit, it wasn't fun at all. At times, the rubber was pretty much akin to a giant hockey puck. It can, and has, been done though. With multiple trips to northern Michigan and typical winters here, I got myself a dedicated set of winter wheel and tires for winter seasons here. A proper set of winter tires really do improve the overall driving experience of the RA in snow/ice conditions.

Thing is winter tires are there for grip and braking. People forget that stopping in real winter tires is a lot better than all seasons. In Ottawa anyways... its -15C today

In London, On... they got over 1m of snow in a 24 time period. Winters definately needed up in Canada.
