Question Cel p1235???

Hey Guys

well I got a cel the other day while I was driving around town 2nd time I have gotton this P1235 - Air Fuel Metering- I went to my local Auto parts store and they cleared it, went to my dealer and he said its a cel for a vac leak or it could be a bad MAF sensor. He said next time it goes off to bring it in and he can test the sensor. Any ideas???

I have had this same code. For me it was related to the airflow limit and torque tables. I got these when i first installed the boost pill until I got thing setup right. Maybe you are over boosting, or the limit tables are too close to what is happening with your car since your tune.

it runs fine boost PEAKS at 25 psi and the stays a steady 20-21 psi what AMS clams with boost pill and tune. Other than that its fine, only other problem I have had was when they didnt tune it for the intake and it was ideling at 2000 rpms and running in safe mode only hitting 10 pounds of boost. I DONT have this problem now its only the P1235 code.

"From what I understand, you need someone to change your torque ratio/boost control on your ECU to prevent this or tune down how much boost you are getting... I believe ECUtek has figured out a bypass for this..."

from another fourm

anyone else have any idea

why dont you listen to the tech ? he told you what it was.

with the mods you have, maybe there is a vacuum leak or the maf just cant compute the extra air being shoved into the engine.

when i put my CAI on my old car it gave me an error in the MAF.. i had it cleared and it never came back on.. think i was because the ECU read the sudden change in Air and popped a code.. but after it learned it.. and i cleared the code i was good..

No, your MAF sensor is not bad, thats what the techs assume since they don't know you're flashed. Did you flash with AMS? If so talk to Chris he knows what it is; I also have a P1235 and I could take care of it by sending the ECU back to them but I cant stqy without car for now
