Ralliart with boost controller
Ralliart with boost controller
I bought a Ralliart from a dealership with a manula boost controller, hks ssqv bov and a different intake on it on it. I bought a warranty through the dealership that covers the car with the stuff that was on it when I bought it. From what I read the boost contorllers is not good for the sst. I want to get the boost pill for it instead but I dont know if theres a stock controller that is missing from it. What should I do?

The "stock boost controller" could be considered the ECU, haha. I'm pretty sure you can remove the aftermarket one and install a boost pill but i would suggest getting it tuned with the pill right after if you choose that route.
If you don't tune your car after the boost pill upgrade, you will have major fluctuations in boost and the engine will suffer immensely, probably break...
FYI. You even have to tune the car if you put in a cold air intake.

I know to get it tuned with the pill but what about just leaving the manual one on? Should that not even be considered? Like I said I bought the car with the stuff on it already how can I find out if its been tuned? The car runs great the way it sits.

To find out if its tuned drive stock one you'll notice the difference right away, lol. My guess is that its already taken care of but if you want to make sure take it to a local performance shop and have them take a look at the ECU. As for keeping the manual boost controller i believe there are some MR's and RA's that have them but not that many as they are not needed if you have a boost pill which is a lot cheaper. With that said get a boost pill and sell the MBC.
