ACD Pump same as Evo IX??

Does anyone know if the our pumps are same as EVO IX? I spoke to someone before and they said the guts and most of its same but not sure if its direct swap. If its a straight swap then I can easily get my hands a low mileage evo ix pump cheap.

The pump in my car has been dead for over a year now (no desire to fix), you can drive with it inop still. You'll just lose the nifty center diff locking, the drivetrain will be somewhat similar to a 4x4 truck. .

Get frugal, and save up money to get it rebuilt or replaced correctly. I don't believe one from the VIII/IX will fit correctly, however an X pump should be a direct swap.

I know they're not the same part, but I'm curious if this is actually the case because the castings look the same, but the second set of ports is just not drilled through on the RA pump. I've been wondering if you could just install some generic plugs on the unused ports and rewire the connectors...

Plug up the AYC ports and rewire the rest? Sounds like it might work to me.

It'd probably be cheapest, or most effective, to have acd-tuning rebuild the ACD pump in any case. I believe that they use better material that's less likely to corrode.

It won't fit . You don't have clearance for IX pump and you would need heavy mods to do with no guarantee that motor will run with ecu. I tried this and can tell you from my experience it is most economical to rebuild your existing pump I did many with great results.

^03chi is talking about trying to retrofit an X pump.

Did you try both the IX and X pumps? Or just the IX?

Pump from X fits for Ralliart however you will need to close 2 fluid lines on pump and fabricate plugs for 2 solenoids ( or just leave solenoids in place ) Electrical plugs are same. Problem is that Evo x pump cost more than one for Ralliart so I don't see point doing this.

More availability in used part market from people removing pumps for race applications and the overall higher number of X's produced vs RalliArt
