well the diff btw a SRI and that "snorkel-removed-oem-box" is the area on a cone filter is much larger than the panel filter... also as u pick up speed, "cold air" will feed to back which make the SRI work ..

but for the "snorkel-removed-oem-box" .. i really doubt ull have some good airflow there..
like i said ... just cut a bigger hole and ull have better result..

Just buy the HKS drop-in filter. The car sounds a little louder now.

just get this thing..

features:
Imagine starting up your modern, boringly silent car and the interior is fill with the thrilling sound of a powerful, European exotic Lambourgini or Ferrari...

Throw it into first (or drive for automatics), hit the gas pedal and prepare to be blown away! In every phase of driving including accelerating , decelerating, shifting, cruising and idling - the sound is so convincing that it actually fools your senses into believing that you're driving the real thing, an European exotic car like a Lambourgini or a Ferrari!

When you prefer to listen to your favourite music, just plug in your MP3 player and the music will transmit loud and clear through your car stereo system.

No installation, no tuning, just plug into the cigarette lighter socket, select a frequency for the car stereo receiver and turn up the volume. Easy as 1-2-3

hahha this thing is laughable.... i can see corolla owners wanting this... -____-"

would this mod add or subtract hp, likely not anything noticable
I agree 100%, I feel the heat coming from the engine, when i drive hard and cruise with the window down.
