Can anyone verify?

Yes, I already said that the value @ 3ee6a was set to 27168 in my original, unadulterated ROM.

I have checked various evo IX '15' roms that I have saved from people I know. Of the 6 roms I have saved, half have 0 @ 3ee6a and the other half have 27168. So I guess it really doesn't matter.

That is pretty odd. Does it seem strange to you that 3EE8A and 3EE6A have the same value in some ROMs?

This thread is for 2-byte load and does not address the mods needed for the 2-byte RPM. I understand that you need to modify your definition file for the RPM mod as well, which would explain your odd numbers. I'm interested in a write up on that one as well if anyone would like to take the time to put it together. A search returns no useful info on the 2-byte RPM mod.

No. Go through the instructions and try again. Your numbers should be in the ballpark of your LoadCalc numbers.

EDIT: My mistake...I thought you were referring to the 2-byte load, as this thread doesn't discuss the 2-byte RPM.

For 88590013 and 88590014 Evo IX ROMS use low byte hex 3EE6A= decimal 27458 and high byte hex 3EE66= decimal 27459.

Isn't there another way to do the lean spool enable/disable?

This is how Evo Kid did it. Can we do it that way?

Open up a EVO IX rom with ECUFlash.

Go to "boost enhancement (anti-lag) Stop RPM"

Right click on it and select "edit map"

Change the address to "1284", click apply, then OK

Make both the "boost enhancement (anti-lag) Stop RPM" and the "boost enhancement (anti-lag) Start RPM"
the same. I set both at 1500rpm.
Seems to be much easier than the way it was done here. Can I do that on my 15 numbered rom? I have 1280 for start and 1282 for stop.

I think I have an issues. I entered the new data in the XML and then I open ecuflash with a 15 rom and I get "unknown rom image" "the wizard will generate the basic rom definition information needed to start working with this rom image"
I can pick from
Defined from scratch
copied from the definition below
Inherited from definition below

what do I do or did do something wrong?

Yes. Try again, and just follow each step exactly as it's laid out in the original post. It should work. Several here have had success with these instructions.

The only way to disable lean spool is to set the enable/disable to the same rpm.
