i have a 2004 evo rs with aem ems my 2 step not working also my rev limiter does anybody know the problem please help me out here pleseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. i just got my ca
r tuned the car runs good just my rev limiter and my 2 step not working.

read the manual, if you still cant figure it out, take it back too your tuner.

 

We need more information before anyone can help you.

Did they used to work and then mysteriously stopped working?

Did they stop working after you had it retuned?

Did they ever work?

Did you mess around with any settings?

Ok, then it sounds like whoever tuned it either turned them off or did not set them up correctly.

Connect to ECU.
Click "Setup"
Goto "RevLimiters"
Goto "RevLimiters template" (Has the black T by it)

It should pull up a box for Main Rev Limiter and a box for 2 Step Rev Limiter.

Look at the main limiter and see how high the fuel and ignition cuts are set. The tuner may have reset them mmuch higher than where it was before. Many guys on a safe tune take it up to close to 8000 on a stock engine. I would consult your tuner with any questions regarding this.

Next look at the 2-step box and see what it says in 2-step input. If you are using a switch it should list a switch location. Or some people have it always on under a certain MPH. If it says off, there is your problem.

If you don't feel confident resetting these please contact your tuner and he should be able to tell you over the phone what to set all of these values at.

the tuner told me he couldnt find the problem he told me the setting is good but its not working for some reason.he did not have enough time to figure the problem he only stayed one day on maui hawaii he's from cali. he think its my aem ems box because he was trying to convert my 1.03 version program to 1.11version but it wont let him. So he converted hes' 1.11 base map to 1.03 map instead of converting my program from 1.03 to 1.11 map. So i called aem if there is anything wrong with my aem ems box they told me there is nothing wrong with my box because if there is the whole box wouldnt work. So here i am trying to figure out the problem. do you think its a wire or a sensor. anyway im going to try out what you told me and look at the setting hope it would work.

Good luck. The information I gave above was with the 1.11 software. Older software will look a bit different and I don't have any experience with it.
