If you take that map, graph it out in Excel, you get the same thing as the maps listed above. I spend a lot of time smoothing my maps out, so that it looks like a gentle hill side, and not the rocky mountains. That map showed above, it was best for the owner of the car to simply start over with a base map, and not even try to correct the one above.

I have never touched my EMS, but I think I could do better than that, lol. You'd think if the tuner was cut and pasting maps they's at least do it with a decent map. Just sucks knowing someone paid money for that.

Based on that map at the top, I think Automapping could have done better even with crap AFR Target punched in by accident.

I cant believe he calls himself a "pro" at tuning. There is no way that he could have said "yep, I think its running like a top" while he was tuning.

Who knows. Customer said over 9lbs 4500RPM - 5000RPM it would rev limit, buck and knock, lol. Car was running a "little" lean. The ignition map is from another car. The fuel map was alright

I respect the guy who says " sorry, i dont know how to tune AEM, i only do stock ecu".. Rather than the guy who thinks he knows and lets a customer leave with a disgusting map..

Seriously! Common sense? Or any basic knowledge of how a car works? I dont understand how someone can spend 30k on a car, put a fully programmable computer in it, and be stingy with money to have a real tuner who has proven results tune the car. Its the owners own fault. But those guys shouldnt be allowed to touch a computer.

Dont be fooled.. there are many tuners that put the smokescreen out and the customers really beleive the tuner knows what they are doing.. what the tuner knows is just how to talk the talk and thats it.. Its not always the customer.. Trust me, we see some horrid stuff here too even on stock ECU..
We have replaced motors in several cars due to lack of common sense.. Many tuners think they just need to know how the software works but have no mechanical sense to know when something is going on with the car to stop tuning and check.. they just keep going til it blows up..
