Boost Solutions, what's up with this?
Baddazzcr Are you not Georges new Tech at Boost Solutions. It is hard to sound objective when you work for the same shop. Fourdoor in defense of Manuel as far as giving George another 3 days to fix the problem, I do think George has had his car at the shop for months trying to get it running right. It may be he just has a very troubled Evo or has some real tuning problems who knows. But from what I saw on the Dyno he definetly needs some help with his car and I think he has given ample time for George to fix the problem. It is his decision to give him another shot. Maybe they can work together to fix it, maybe not but ultimately it is up to him.

mdzuricky77 If you new Manuel like I have for over 1 1/2 years now you would know he is not a liar and has not messed with his tune except for what Andy walked him thru. With only 9 posts it also makes me wonder if your statments are factual.

Like I said a few posts back, put them on the dyno and lets SEE what power they are making, I did. Stock I made 240whp on a dynapack, now after my mods it would be about 360-370 on race gas, 350ish on pump. Oh the DynoDynamics I put down 282. Also why the hell should Manual learn the AEM, when you goto a steak house do you go back and cook your food too after you paid for them to cook it? Do you not send it back if it's screwed up? Now if you went there 2-3 times a week for 3 months and it was screwed up every time would you not say they can NEVER get it right? The reason people like Manual and I get this stuff is because we DO NOT WANT TO TUNE IT, we hire people like George and Shiv to do it. If geroge can not make the same power as my piggy back xede with a FULL stand alone that is sad and proves he is not a good tuner. The proof is on the charts no matter what your or anyone elses butt dyno says. Todd and I made 20-30 more whp then George's tuned AEM car, and that car had more mods on it. And every car that had the same mods on it that Manual had made more power with the xede. I am sure Dyno4mance will post the charts in a few days so you can see.
lolrof, so you are saying George is the best and you work for him? lol. also why don't you and George fix Manual's oil leak that you caused because you don't know what the hell you are doing and put a hole in it. So far from George this is what I have seen.
2 AEM installs
George's car blows up on the dyno with Coolent going all over, tows the car home.
Manuel's car leaks oil all over the dyno and after 2 pulls they feel the car is unsafe to go any further with.
So when is the next tooned by BS Solutions car hitting the dyno? I will bring my cat litter this time

evoindahouse- when ever you are ready to run I am ready to take the pepsi challange. You can set the date for the track. Yes I now work for Boost solutions have been here for about week, used to work for mitsu. This will be my last post on this subject as I have nothing more to coment. Actions now are the only thing that will put this subject to rest.
Have a wonderful day.
Have a wonderful day.
I have been reading this forum, and feel bad for Manual. He did get a bad deal in all this. First, I have known Manual for a year, and he is a great guy, and a very good driver. Second, Manual's car is tuned like crap. I was there when Andrew backed out of the car and said he did not feel like continuing the dyno. He said "There is something under (in) the car that does not feel right". Also, I followed Manual to the dyno, and the car was running so rich that it gave me a headache, and a I was a few car lengths behind him. MYEVOVIII had to give me a headache pill for it. After seeing the results of the dyno I agree with evointhehouse, Shiv knows his stuff. Manaul, maybe it is time to convert your car back to the stock computer, and sensor, and go with something else. I am sure you still have the pieces, or can get them back from George if they are still at his shop. I am sure that you can sell the AEM stuff to an Evo driver that has better resources or access to a shop that can tune these things. Then take the money, and buy an Exede. Other than the intercooler your mods are very similar to evointhehouse's Evo. Once you do that you can move beyond this crap.
Here is another option you can consider. www.Payntechnologies.com Tom is an EXCELLENT tuner. I have had first had experence with these guys, and they are very professional.

Regardless of what else happens, George and Boost Solutions have been very accomodating with me and George lent me his personal car for the time that mine was down. I'm not saying it, and I'm not going to let anybody else say it in my name that Boost Solutions are unethical or crooked business people. We have some outstanding problems, and they might never be resolved to anybody's satisfaction, my car is not properly tuned, and I'm not satisfied with the results of their work, but I don't think for one minute that George ever intended to defraud me
Sometimes in the heat of these threads, ppl will say stuff that's not too accurate or inflammatory or slanderous. I'm a little worried that some folks might think that I'm some kind of a whinner or worse yet, a liar. I really don't want that on top of having these car issues. I thank the calm and polite ppl who know me and post their sincere and honest opinion of me so others will be accurately informed.
As for the AEM EMS, I'm not quite ready to throw in the towel. I fully realize that it is not a toy and therefore it is going to take some real skill and knowledge to tune it properly. I believe at this point that I can get this system worked out to y satisfaction. I do believe that the AEM EMS is a very good product and in the right hands it's a powerful and very sophisticated tuning tool. I never considered tuning it myself because I'm not trained in either fuel injection, ignition mapping or engine tuning. Furthermore my knowledge and expertise with the actual EMS is very, very limited.
If all else fails, I'll take my car to the stage of mods suitable for the XEDE or similar piggy-back system and go in that direction. I must admit once again that I was extremely impressed by what Shiv was able to accomplish with his tuning knowledge and the XEDE/Xflash system. I know that's an option I can always consider.
Thanks,
Manuel

BadazzCR, can you explain to me why it has taken so many MONTHS to tune SilverEVO8's car whereas there were 12 or more EVO's tuned in ONE DAY? Yet people keep saying how George is such a great tuner and SilverEVO8 (and new customers...) should go back to him. Why? So his car can sit there for another week or more while they "figure" things out? Maybe things will get better when they get that imaginary dyno
I just wish you guys would admit that you guys f'd up on his car instead of trying to point the finger else where. Also, the dyno sheet was really poor. He may have had 250+- HP but it fell flat on its face after that.

The track? Like Road Atlanta? That would be great and I bet your car will blow up before it's over. I am not going to race someone in the 1/4 mile because that is not my thing, I will have a Dyno Shootout or a Road Race event. Also before I got tuned I did a 12.9 @ 108 at Atlanta Dragway beat that

P.S. I would be more worried about your car coming apart mine has held together no problem many times at TWS and TMS
Did you do the 12.9 @ Atlanta dragway or on a on-ramp with George riding shotgun with datalogging getting 43psi on the stock block? I really don't want to start a pissing match dyno your car and see how good of a tooner he is, so far from what I have seen on the dyno he sucks. PROVE ME WRONG!

I must inform you that I allready have my SCCA license, have been road racing since I was about 8 started racing karts and moved up from there. Have run many local and regional events, but you being the great driver you are should have nothing to worry about. As for beating your 12.9 @ 108 thats easy I have allready beat that, many times over. Like I said before name the place and I will be there to hand it too you.

EVOINDAHOUSE- Your correct my runs were not in atlanta but at Houston Raceway Park. Which is where...you guessed it Houston, Tx where I used to live before moving to GA. As far as going to the dyno I plan on going just as soon as I get a chance, but unlike you I don't feel the need to dyno my car just so I can have some number to brag about,
I am more than happy with my cars current status and performance.
RACER RS X- currently runing the EMS w/ wide band, and loving everything about it.
