Boost Solutions, what's up with this?
BadazzCR - That is good that your car is running good. I know everyone would like to see the dyno results, but that is the usual response. Did you program the car, or did George, or was it done while you were in Texas. Also, what is the the difference between Manuals car and yours? How long did it take for you to get tuned correctly, did you have to go through the "growing pains".
As for, evoindahouse, his car is, for lack of any other words, an evolution. I have seen/ heard of a lot of testing of his car. He has been improving it with data for almost the entire time I have known him.

hey BadazzCR post your timeslips then? evoindahouse shared his times, and you dont seem to interested in dynoing any time soon. Better yet, lets go up to Commerce so we can compair apples to apples.
You never answered my previous question...btw

Event-Horizon- I am sorry I forgot to reply to your question, using a dyno to tune is always a great way but you are never able to create the real world conditions on a dyno that you would see road tuning. Most dyno's fail to create the same amount of load you would see if you were road tuning, and also don't forget you can not do part throttle tuning on a dyno like you could on the street with the same amount of load. Dyno tuning is a great way to tune cause you are able to see on a screen how the changes you make are affecting horse power and torque. It is my opion that you would only need to dyno tune after you finished with the road tune. It is also my OPINION that dyno tuning is best just for fine tuning and not the bulk of tuning which should be done on the road.
Second question, I wish I still had my timeslips but as on now I do not, these runs were mad last summer/fall before I moved here to GA. I will be going soon to Commerce as soon as they open up to the public again. I wanted to go last weekend but they were having an event for the big guys last weekend. So if weather permits I will be there this weekend. Hope to see ya there.

I am more than happy with my cars current status and performance.
RACER RS X- currently runing the EMS w/ wide band, and loving everything about it.

All I have to say is people that say dyno's are not needed never seem to have one. plus you never know what power you are making. I did a dyno 3 different times to see where I stood.

How about all of us Evo owners get together for the big Tuner Shootout. Then we can see who's car has the bigest ***** at the track. You can always trash talk but what it really comes down to is bringing it on the asphalt. It will be on June 19th at Atlanta Dragway. I have $5.00 coupons.
You can race, show or compete in the sound competition, or do all of the above.
Or if sooner is more to your liking Friday May 21st is Test & Tune Night.
Let me know if any of you guys would like to go I have only a few more $5.00 coupons after handing them out at the Dyno day.

I guess Ryan's mouth finally collided with reality. Where's the ***** slap icon?
If you want to find out what power your making, take it to the dragstrip! Forget the dyno symantics.
Road Atlanta sounds great, but I have to warn you that your bitting off more than you can chew on that one. I must inform you that I allready have my SCCA license, have been road racing since I was about 8 started racing karts and moved up from there. Have run many local and regional events, but you being the great driver you are should have nothing to worry about. As for beating your 12.9 @ 108 thats easy I have allready beat that, many times over. Like I said before name the place and I will be there to hand it too you.

Get a life, hell you don't even have a evo why are you here again? And you are right the dragstrip is the TRUE test of power right? What if you suck at launching your car, I think they should do away with HP #s and have 1/4 times when you buy a car. I see Penn State is not helping you. And you drive a SUV lolrof. I think I found a pic of you and your friends... Also why did you post in this thread? To start trouble? To be a ***? Go sell some more cars before daddy get's mad and makes you have to get a REAL job.

Oh well, that's the price you pay for trying to get your carr modded as per the tuning shops' suggestions
So boys and girls, I now have a car that will not idle with any consistency and stalls about 80% of the time when I come to a stop (embarrasing that is
). Of course, the 17 mpg is also considerably less than the 20 mpg I was getting prior to spending many $K in improvements.

Its not. Although you could be a perfect 14.7 at idle and it wouldn't make a difference. Try taking a bit of fuel at idle out. I have found that working on your car yourself is the best way. That way you have nobody to blame but yourself. Just my ..02

As for working on the car yourself, I agree that is better, but some of us are not so skilled or do not have time or place or tools to do it. that's why the tuner shops exist. I just availed myself of the services of this particular tuner..........
