Ahh a few little things... the rear diff conversion, attaching the drive shaft, and finding out where the lateral g-sensor plugs in???

Which reminds me, anyone out there in evo3 land would be able to take a picture of where the middle of the drive shaft mounts?

A nice big detailed pic would be great!

HEyy all, long time no posting, but im still working on the car!

Will be welding the rear floorpan in this long weekend, finally, and now that i put the bonnet back on, like i said before it hits the cam cover, so i have to options,

ditch the old one for an evo 3 one (do not want to go this path unless i have to - way too expensive and i dont have that much cash ~1500

the second, get the original modified, now ive looked at removing the cross member from the bonnet which will only give me a small amount, and i dont want to take the cam belt cover, so cut the member out as well as a portion of the bonnet, so here comes my question.

Anyone know who can do some sort of bonnet modifications done, scoops or something for extra clearence in sydney and how much

Cheers

Extra Extra!!! Read All About It!!!

The conversion is COMPLETE! Apart from a few minor factors.... like no wheels and bonnet as yet hehehe

I turned the key on to start for the first time tonight... the starter was singing and after a few nerve wrecking momonets, the huff and puff of the evo motor started to roar!

It was amazing! The feeling was and still is indescribable! heheh

Got also a question, on the instrument cluster there is a light still up, it looks like a coffe cup with the smoke or something, its on the left hand side just above the check engine light. Anyone know what it is?

Cheers

Yeah i though it could be an o2 sensor, but where to plug it in?? anyhow maybe a online jap to english dictionary? dont know how you would type in the jap characters

i noticed that there was a hole on the stock cat where maybe a o2 sensor was supposed to be, and i just plugged it up with a screw.

Thanks anyhow! BTW you can check out my space for pics of the conversion

Hey all long time since a post, but yeah been travelling the world.

Where im up to with my conversion ATM well, i finally decided to go with the evo 3 bonnet instead of any mods, set me back a bit but i guess its worth it. Just needs to be touched up.

Im trying to get a set of oz racing 15" rims, but they are sure hard to get a hold of.

Damn its a pain not being able to drive it! So close to finishing hehe... arrrrhh!

Somebody said that the ethanol 100 oct fuel is not all that great, not sure why I think he said it burns at higher temps so you end up heating the engine alot more and sufficient cooling becomes a factor. I think it should be even better than the 98's, "IF" your engine is tuned for it.

BTW ppl I still have parts for sale of my old lancer CC so if you or you know someone, are after anything, ask me and I might have it.

Happy NY all!

Eyy, all

Finally i got myself some rims, and put them on the car, and ready for the first drive.
Got the whole family to sit in the car and take them for a spin .

What can i say WOOOOW!!!!
I was amazed that everything worked!! The car just started going. After a years work on the thing and doing a whole conversion from stock lancer CC 1.5 carbi, to evo 3 AWD.

Went down a nice steep hill (slowly at first just to see if everything stayed on), it did, hehe then turned it around at the bottom, and gave it a bit of whippin'!!
WROOOM it went launched very nicely and made it to 100 in 3rd gear no probs. Loved the kick in the seat feeling.
As compared to the sluggish preformance of the old engine...

Still have to get used to the new HD clutch its very touchy in 1st gear, but i think i can handle it

Thanks goes out to all the people that helped me out here, now i have some ***** on my ride, its payback time V8 hoons, muahahahahah....

Adios
