I sent an email to them asking about how the "classing" will work within the different classes - specifically how will Evos within the AWD class be classed. This is the answer I got.

The classes at the National Street Tire Challenge events are all PAX / RTP Index based. The BSP Evo would have a multiplier of 0.859, the SM Evo would use 0.869, and the FP Evo would use 0.872.

Here's how it all comes out -- BSP 60 second run = SM 59.3 second run = FP 59.1 second run.

It's just amazing to me how the FP Evo that weighs 1000 pounds less with 50+ more HP than the BSP Evo is only 1.7% faster!

I do want to, but MW is bad enough on tires going 40-60mph... If I were going to road coarse anything I would go to ECR for $150, I would rather autocross MW.

Right on man!! I like the 8 runs you get at these two. I'll be doing some ER events once the NTAXS events break. I'm ready man!! I got a camera in my car now so I can watch the videos at lunch and hopefully correct the things I'm doing wrong for the second half of the day.

Or I may be selling the green wheels and both sets of tires and going ahead with the wider wheels and star specs. Decisions decisions. But I'd have to sell my AR15 as well for the new wheels and tires. Hmmmmm???????

I just sold a 1911 and will be getting a custom tune on thursday and ordered a schroth harness. So there will be some new stuff going on at the next event at least.

 

Well, 75% chance of rain tomorrow with chance of hail. I am going to sit this one out.

 

After much consideration, I do believe I will make this one. Foley also mentioned he will be there.
