Sounds good to me. Jose and I live close to each other around Lewisville Lake. Where do you live? I had no idea it was almost 2hrs away from me. Going to have to stay away from the beers for sure the night before.

I live in Dallas off of Hampton and I-30, so it's right at 1.5hrs for me. Yeah, I'm going to get up crazy early.
friday night several of us will be going to dallas raceway in crandall to hit up the drag strip. we are going to see if joshs yellow car can break into the 9's. lance (lud2evo) and jason (donkeypuncher) as well as josh and myself are going. anyone who wants to join us, it opens at 6:30 for test and tune. its 15 dollars for admission and 10 dollars for tech.
Yeah, that's one of the main reasons why I don't run with the Porsche or BMW club. Their have "their" classes and then the "everyone else not us" class.
It's not competitive since the classing isn't fair - it's really more just for fun. I guess you can also say the same for NTAXS although theirs is at least based on engine size.

BMW is based on engine size with a few exceptions (S2000 gets bumped to Y automatically from X, Elise gets bumped to Y as well). I run in Z in a supercharged Elise on R comps with only a 1.8L putting out 220 rwhp racing against 505 hp Z06's and super setup Evo IX SCCA BSP national champ cars.

I still think the classing is unfair. That 600 WHP Evo with race suspension will be in the same class as a stock 300 WHP Evo X on stock shocks -- as long as their both on street tires. Doesn't seem right does it?
It's a matter of most/best mods wins -- assuming all drivers are equal.
This thread makes it REALLY difficult to follow who is doing what, when, and where... You have to read damn near every page to find out who is talking about what event and showing up to what event.
Well ok - you're right about the classing, Cosmos. I forgot that BMW is based on the engine size and they do have 3 different classes with a modifier for FI and bump for r-comps.

Let's face it your car should have a good shot to win class y at bmwcca. If you want fair classing go run BSP or SM at a Scca event and see how you do. If a lightly modded s2000 beats you, well I don't know what to say

Lol what?
I'm not trying to pick a fight and didn't really expect this to turn in to an exchange.
As for SCCA, I'm registered for the divisional. Hopefully I'll do well but I'm not afraid of losing to a better car or better driver within my class. At least I know my competition won't be a 600 HP gutted out lightweight monster.
