i think JDM rear will have to wait for me a bit longer : / i just found out that my clutch is slipping a little bit (shoots up 2-300rpm at peak boost). anyone here have experience with ACT HDSS? (heavy duty street disc) been scouring the forum for (mixed) reviews. trying to find more bad things on either the ACT HDSS or Exedy Stage 2 organic so i can decide on which lol.

im going to order the overlays this week. but form bluebatmobile guy

p.s its slipping at 43,000 miles. before any assumption about my driving, my wrx's clutch lasted 215,000km lol.

hey vince. clutch in our evo is the weak sauce.

i heard of horrible stories about act. i went with exedy stage one. its basically an oem replacement. its heavy in the leg at first but its fine now. it feels great.

lol i hear the same about Exedy stage 1 and 2. i guess people will always have their opinion, especially in a large forum.

personally i have ran Exedy since i have ever owned a vehicle, i have purchased 4 clutches from exedy and couldnt complain. but ACT seems to have the favour of the people....except david buschur (he hates it lol)

like i said im adding up all the bads, and ACT is winning with less baddies.

i think the stock ft/lbs rating of our clutches must be the bare limit before tuning and mods.

thanks for chiming in guys, i think im gonna do more research before commiting to a clutch. i leave for the west coast without my car for 5 months starting march anyways so im not in a terrible rush.

Would love to plan a meet with as many locals as possible, once the weather is nicer to a cruise and photoshoot.
