B.C. evo roll call
On top of my budy's reference this is another reason why I went to RG. English is just too far away for a custom tune. What happens if you start throwing CEL's or need something updated? I dunno, I just like having the shop close to home.
They may be a bit more expensive than ER on paper, but factor in the 9 hour drive, both ways, gas, and time, RG will be less.
As far as power output, it's hard to compare the two since it's on two different dynos. ER is doing a dyno day in February, depending on my schedule I may head down there and jump in to see what I pull on their dyno as well.

i may give them a chance if they can guarantee me the same power output as English Racing, and at a competitive price.
because ER will get me the power i want, at a flat rate. I wont want to dick around and pay more than i need to get the same power.
plus if they **** up my tune, i can stalk them since they are almost local to me :P

ahhh is this your x?

what is the power difference between the dynos that ER or RG use? is that static?
you guys wont have to drive for 9 hours to ER. just wait for a dyno event in seattle like they held last month. as for revisions, a simple email would do. the only thing is that you will need to datalog your readings...
im still debating if i should go to the dyno day at RG. haha maybe i should just for fun. well see..
anyone else going?

Hah, yah that's my car melting my bumper on RG's dyno...
I'm not sure of the power difference exactly. I'm pretty sure ER is using a dynojet. stock evo x will probably dyno around 230-250whp. I'm just guessing here, if anyone who's already on this thread has any first hand experience please chime in.
It's never static, dyno results vary so drastically it's unbelievable. That's why I'm a firm believer that you should be looking at % gain, not the final #'s. The final #'s will change but % gain should be fairly consistent from dyno - dyno.
I'd hit up the dyno day if I were you. The guys there are great, and hell $60 for a few passes is a pretty good deal. I'd love to be there but I'm flying out to Winnipeg to see the gf so I'm going to be freezing my *** off instead of playing with my car... I've been at RG every weekend for the last month though, I'm sure they've had enough of me by now... If you do go ask them to do one graph with my car overlaid on it, it'll give you an idea of what the Evo X can do with a little work.

when is RG's dyno day. February is a very busy month for me at work with the olympics and all, but if it lands on the right day i maybe able to make it.....and maybe if my parts show up in time.
i want to go to the dyno day, but the AJ incident my car has sticker i just dun want ppl to bash me because i heard a bunch of revscene guys are going...anyways post pics guys...
lets have a meet soon!
lets have a meet soon!
heh the key is in my pocket, and spare key is in my wallet lol.
there will be other occasions, im busy all month of feb, then i take off to Nova Scotia (without the car) for 3-4 months, so im really in no rush. definately looking forward to coming back with lots of parts to install
It's so annoying and immature, I can't handle it sometimes.
Revscene is childs play.
And yes, I agree, time for another meet.
Who gives a ****. One thing I hate about the car community is people not respecting what each other drives. You get profiled by the type of car you drive and most people out of jealousy, will take any chance they can to bash the owner, or the car.

I only go on Revscene for the Buy/Sell section. haha
Dont worry about them bashing on you. Who cares. That beef is just between 2 companies. I suggest you go on the dyno and show them what is up! See if they still say anything..
Totally agree. Who gives a damn what other people say. Most of buddies call me "Fat Paul Walker" and I'm not even that fat! They're all pissed because I drive an import. F***'m, that's what I say.
The guys at RG are pretty chill, they won't give a damn if you show up with an AJ sticker on your car. Hell, if you ask nicely maybe they'll give you an RG sticker to cover it up with!
I wish I could be there for the dyno day but Winnipeg is calling my name...
Words of caution though - RG's dyno will make you cry... It reads really low. I'm excited to take a look at everyone's graphs next week though! I guarantee that I'll be stopping by RG next Tuesday to creep on all of your graphs to see how my X stands up.
