Your car made somewhere in the 345-355 whp range on The English Racing Dyno correct? I think that's low considering your mod list is essentially full bold ons and I'm guessing you were either tuned on 92 or 94. (Not trying to be offensive just stating my opinion).

But to each his own.
RG's Dyno is well known for being a heartbreaker dyno Theres a C63 AMG that baselined 310rwhp on that dyno, they regularly dyno 370 on dynojet.

it seems to even read lower than some other mustang dynos ive seen here on the forums. your 340awhp would equate to more like 390-400 on a regular dynojet. so dont sell yourself short, your car is damn strong bro

Thanks brother. Appreciate the kind words. Doing a drivetrain fluid flush next week and will be purchasing ohlins road&track coilovers thereafter. Also ordered a set of Micheline Pilot Super Sports to mount on a matte black nt03+m

btw R.mutt

regarding our discussion with Husky vs Chevron. Husky here on the island no longer carry 94 octane so ive had to hard switch to Chevron 94, and yeah im knocking at high RPM ((((

so ive recently switched to chevron, i did some datalog for English Racing to see if they can correct it, but they are on weekend break now so im hoping to hear what Aaron has to say about our Chevron.

I do not have a Wideband atm, so i only logged with the narrowband from the o2 sensor. I think im going to be ordering an AEM UEGO tonight.

anywho here are the logs if you are interested. unfortunately i dont have any logs before i was forced to switch to chevron, so i really have nothing to compare to.

p.s extremely jealous of the Ohlins

so after a couple rounds of datalogging and reflashing, it would seem that Chevron 94 octane is pretty much **** gas lol.

final ignition map is about 2 degrees less than the original map to be able to be knock free past 5500rpm. no big deal, im glad i got that sorted out.

I wonder how the car would run with Shell 91.......

I am back on chevron 94 for testing as I got the car to run cleanly on shell 91 with minimal knock (1-3 counts) without reducing timing...just smoothing out the timing maps. So far my "flash cel on knock" has been blinking near redline quite a lot so but I haven't don't logs to see how bad the knock is. At this point I'm pretty sold that shell 91 > chevron 94 but I will still do the logs to be certain.

Sorry as I've been too tied up a work these last few weeks to look at the logs. Glad you sorted out your knock. I got the pilot sports yesterday. I'm holding off on the ohlins until next month because I want to do whiteline bushings and the Perrin prcs with it while the suspension is down. Have he car running on rails for autoX and track days this summer

Who's up for a meet?

So many nice evos of every generation...we should all get together.

Date: June 2nd
Location: Vanier Park Parking Lot
Time: 11am

Locally I can think of myself, EvoLove, ASR, k3lv of Static Captains, Captain Slow, BrendanS, and at least 4 other owners who aren't on any of the forums (a V and 3 VIIIs) who'd probably be interested. That's 10 already. I really want to get a bunch of evos together....the photo op alone would be worth it. What better way to spend a lazy Sunday.

If you're interested add your name:

1. R. Mutt+4
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.
8.

^ I should be available to go, assuming I don't have work, and depending on who else goes as well as the weather.

Cool, so far I've confirmed a silver Evo V and a black Evo VIII on my end. So 3 of us for sure. More than likely another 2 as well.
