Cobb AP vs. Vishnu flash for MR
#17
hey joe,
hope you are enjoying your 4th of July weekend... I'm leaning towards cobb ap becuz MRs don't handle power mods well and a modest increase in power and possibly efficiency is all I'm looking for until they figure out the clutch packs for the SST. The factory settings run the car incredibly rich, which is why the dealer flash makes such a dramatic difference. Ultimately a dyno tune is the gold standard, but it remains irreversible (unless you tune again) like the vishnu. I think the cobb ap is a good starting point and like somebody mentioned you can resell it if you go a different direction or if you sell the car. Gonna order mine soon, let me know what you think. Text me.

I've only heard positive experiences with the Vishnu tune as far as performance gains for the X, unless you are really itching to start trying different maps and experimenting, i would say the Vishnu is the way to go.

just got off the phone with vishnu...and as far as tuning goes you can still add mods to your Evo X after the reflash, as long as its stage 1 type mods. When moving into internals and such you will have to send in the ecu again for updates. Just FYI....
