New best for my AWD mirage

Was only able to get two passes in. First pass the intercooler hose popped off. New 1/8 best time.

1.789 60ft
6.826 1/8th
at 100.81 mph
11.595 1/4
at 89.23 mph

Pleased with the 1/8th time. Disappointed with the 1/8 mph. car felt faster on the street. Thought I would skate through to the second pass with no warnings. Boy was I wrong. Just before the second pass I got the forth and final warning. " How many times do we have to have this conversation? this is the forth and final time. DO NOT bother coming back to the track without a cage" head inside my car, hands a frailing.

Second pass was clean. 02 housing with wastegate was loose at the end of the run. Dont know how much affect it had on run but I usually pick up 27mph on the second half. was leaking before the run as the wideband was lean 19/1 at idle.

1.741 60 ft
6.829 1/8th
at 110.09 mph
10.421 1/4
at 133.37

Car is still on 93 octane and street tires. Super easy to drive with the new setup. Still drive 61 miles oneway to the track. 100% street car. 15,000 miles on the streets of tampa, 5 miles at the track

Current setup:
7.7comp 2.4
stock head with bowl cleanup
414 cams, crower springs
cyclone intake, dual runner intake
gt35r, 95 manifold, 02 mounted 38mm tial

quiet 3 inch magnaflow
205 core, 2.5 pipes,64mm tb
tilton carbon/carbon twinplate
cryoed lancerman tranny with 4spider center, quaife in front.
falken ziex 205/45/16 on volks
track weight 2700

Wow, that is one cool car! I had a 89 Mirage Turbo and always wanted to make it AWD using a 1st gen Eclipse drivetrain. A 4G63 swap would have been easy, but how difficult was the AWD to do? Congrats again on your times.

If this is the same person, he has a site with the AWD conversion, I give him credit, its alot of work.. But definitely a worthwhile effort on a light car.. I've been wanting to do a evo drivetrain conversion like this with a later Mirage DE since..

Impressive numbers, gotta love power to weight..
