I am on 264's now and thinking of the 280's, I think with the stage3 head I have it would be a pretty quick combo. Are you using the internal or external wg? Dave was talking about an external wg T4 based tubine, is that what you are running?
When Ihad the PTE turbine housing, It was also external wastegate. I took Br's o2 housing from the original internal wg turbokit, cut the wastegate passage off, patched the main exhaust pipe, and ran the external off the same 90* pipe welded to the o2 housing flange.

Just so it's clear in this thread, I put on the BR race fmic before changing the turbine housing. That brought the car from 11.5 @ 120 to 11.2 @ 126 on the same 116 fuel. 30psi on the slower time, 32psi on the faster pass.
The FP turbine housing has shown decent gains on the street on pumpgas, but the 30psi racegas testing is inconclusive on how much the perfomance will pick up. It's definatly going to be be faster than the PTE turbine housing, question is just how much better.

Yea, that IS the one dave was telling to get. I jsut wonder how a 30r would be on a 2.3 stoker. If I am going to spend $700 upgrading the 30r it might be better to just get the 35r. I am still confused as to what turbo Dave is running on thier shop car, is it the same as what you have or is this the new version:

Buschur's black evo8 drag car has the new style FP turbine housing tha I have. It's the same turbine housing. I have a slighly different turbo I think, as I got the turbo cartridge directly from precision in a sponsorship deal for my talon. Im not 100% sure what compressor wheel/comp housing buschur is using in his GT35R kit, but I am 100% sure it's the same turbine housing Im using now.
IMHO if your building a larger displacement shortblock, I would definatly run the 35R.

I changed the fuel pump today, Out with one walbro GS342 255HP pump, and in with a new one. Simple direct swap.
A/F ratio is back to what I tuned for 10.8 to 11.3 under boost on pumpgas. no more leanout, and it's consistent again. Knock is gone. Basicly, the car runs just like it did before going to the track on friday.
So, I guess problem solved. Ill go back to the track on friday again and see what mph it can do.
