Why all the hostilities MR Brown. I kind of understand what you are saying. Get all the parts put it together and drive like a bat out of hell and its possible. Its like if I spend the money to get some wings get a helmet , jump off a 80 story building and its possible that I can fly like a bird! Again all I am saying is that if a container is designed to hold a gallon of water... I dont see how its possible to get three gallons in without some sort of modification. Again this is not a bash, its just a doubt I have. I never will doubt GOD, but humans YES!

Please keep the negative comments out of Curts thread. He is the REAL deal. Go research who he is and how long he has been in the DSM arena. He can Frekaing drive. He is an honest guy, i have talked to him on the phone plenty of times and is all about setting records. He has NOTHING to gain by lying and making things up. I remember talking to Curt on the phone 4 months ago and he told me personally he was going to get in a 10 sec with the stock turbo. i had NO doubt in my mind he could do it.Originally Posted by WrX Kila

Good job Curt my hat is off to you. Keep lowering that time brother

wrx,
I think the problem here is you are thinking that the reason Curt is so fast is the power level his car is making. If you read the thread you will see that the power/torque he is making isn't "that" extremely high. If you take into consideration that his power level could be duplicated on another extremely built car it will be easier for you to understand his times are more about the build of the car and driver than the power it is outputing.

Yes, I know this is from 2006. Some threads are just worth an occasional bump for a wake up call to others.
Here we are 4.5 years later, technology, fuels, tuning and parts in general have improved by leeps and bounds. Yet, this ET record still shines nearly as well as it did this long ago.
Curt, you show what a properly set up and driven car can do each time you run one. I'd venture to guess today this would be awfully close to a 9 second pass.

Curt Brown > Chuck Norris
With is unhuman like driving ability.
Curt's car doesn't need a turbo in it. Him touching the car will make the car do 10's.
Curt will beat Chuck Norris in a drag race. Curt has the touch, Chuck Norris doesn't!

Yes, that's right, Brian's car did go quicker/faster, I don't know how the hell I forgot him. Both cars with the right parts on them

3 years later and the numbers are still on par with today's technology. Curt Brown was always ahead of his time in the 4g arena.
