Man, I need to try my car at different tracks. If you and GTR are pulling 103-104 traps it's gotta be something about the track. I'm willing to bet the best drag racer in the world couldn't get those times in my car at my local track. It seems most of you are shifting at the same points I do and doing similar techniques. In fact I've only heard of 2 Evo's now from regular owners that push over 101 mph. Be very happy cuz I think you guys got some strong Evos. I honestly don't think most Evo's will run that fast. Great times.

No AFC or toluene or any kind of race fuel?

I'm having a hard time digesting 104mph. Would you please post one of your slips? I think i might go to the track this week and shift at 1-2 at 6400-6600, 6800-6900 rpm rest of the gears power shifting with a 7 grand momentum launch. "whatever that is called.

Congrats to you but your speed blows me out of the water and really messes with my mind. Doesn't make that much sense that your car is that much faster.

In better condition i can see two tenths for me and +1mph on a very good day. You must be running race fuel

I too am confused-- your car is too damn fast! (I know, that must suck...) Any slips you can post and any other factors that might have given you such good runs?? (took out spare, engine swap, etc.)

That is unreal!

Bear in mind that even in the same model, cars differ slightly in output.

To the disbeliever's, I did not use race fuel or even 94 Sunoco (although I should have). I did not use any tricks of the trade. I did however wait 30+ mins. between each run The track is a nice track (open field, flat, extended concrete launch pad). But in the past I have raced multiple tracks at different midwest states with my old 9-sec street car and found only a tenth and 1.0 mph variance between all of them. This of course was based on similiar conditions (altitude, weather, track surface). You know we hardcore drag people keep track of this stuff when competeing in heads up classes. There is another track closer to my home called US 131 Dragway and is about 90 mins. south of MMMotorplex. I could always duplicate my times and mph between the two. If you think it's a fluke track, you can also look at my 1/8 mile time and mph. At that point I'm already 2-3 tenths and 2+ mph faster than most of the cars that have been posted here. Also notice I had a 104 mph and only a 2.00 60ft. That is simply horsepower. I was also shifting at 6800-6900 rpm. Given more time it would have been nice to have a 1.74 60' and a 104.+ mph trap speed to see the ET (13.0?). But, like I said, I was testing and having fun. I personally think it was all driver, lol (just kidding).
If I need to post the time slips, I will. I can't supply a video because I did not tape it, but I can give you a list of witness's, lol.

I think the #'s are very believable, especially considering the 30 minute cooldowns between runs. A scan of the slips would certainly help. The internet if just chalked full of fake people... that is why I posted my slips, just in case people didn't believe me.

I would love to run you Silencer. Are you close enought to milan dragway?

Couple of questions.

Have you tried shifting at 6500 rpms every time. Which times did you get? THat is what i did and it proves worst results. And i thought my redline was 7000. Go figure.

Perhaps if i wait it out till 6900 my trap speed would be higher. On the day i ran there way no way i could of beat my 1.88 60ft. The it was like high 38-43 degrees and the tries would not grip. I would like to see my car on warmer days to confirm if our car is very temperature dependend or you own the fastest evo has to offer in the states

I hate to question, but those times are not just indicative of a better driver, they're indicative of either a 50 shot, or fuel computer. I mean **** if this is true then you should be driving a sponsored car. If true then please tell your launching tecnique. Do you hold the rpm's at a given number or do you just rev her up ? Do you dump the clutch or slip it? Do you juice up off the line ? give up the tips dammit.....
