1/4 mile record!
He didn't turn the car into a drag car because his car is stock. I don't see anything wrong with taking an Evo to the track to see what it would run. What a lot people seem to forget is that there are a lot more drag strips than road racing tracks. In my part of the country road racing tracks are few and far between so if I want to legally get on my car the drag strip is a logical place to do it. Nuff said.

it looks good, no doubt about that, but this is what you guys do. you turn a track car into a drag car, when its not made for it. but i guess that what all americans do with their cars.

In his FIRST post Silencer said he wanted to take it to his local AutoX events.
I wonder if "diablo2184" has ever heard of a ProSolo event? It's santioned by SCCA and begins with a heads up start (a drag christmas tree) for a short distance and then your off into the corners. A combination of drag and autocross (Solo II). These are National events so unfortunatly, they are far and few between. We have one coming up in Michigan and I hope to be there.
I want to thank everyone for their positive comments. This website is addicting!
Oh, by the way, if you see an EVO review article in the West Michigan Region SCCA Newsletter, that would be mine

Thanks, got it, cool! That was my last run of the day. I tried shifting at 7500 and lost mph, but still a decent 60 ft' and ET. If the truck ahead of me hadn't moved aside, I would have lined up against your buddy's modded WRX (nice car).

Impressive, although I think Silencer is one hell of a driver and not all Evo's will be able to perform like his in stock trim. Nice driving Silencer.
What would the average ET/trap be for a stock Evo? 13.8-14.5?

An "average" driver will run mid 13s @ 100 stock
A "not so good" driver will run high 13s stock

Finally some proof, and now I can feel confident that it did actually happen!
