OK, you guys neglected to comprehend the MAJOR and probably most inportant factor for his great time. It was 59 degrees? Any of you guys have a turbo car before? At winter the thing will pick up 20WHP, no joke, heel even at night it is faster. at 59 degrees this car is running ideal, full timing advance, no heat soak, and all hat cold air hitting ths car.

Wait till winter comes around, you will see your Evo wake the **** up, but you also need to allow the iron block to rally warm up, 4G63 runs like **** when it is very cold, really. But a proper warm up with cold air, car will run perfect.

My best time at the 1/4 mile was 14.286 @ 97.19 with a 1.901 60' time. I have a 3" cat back, otherwise I'm stock....
My WRX with a turbo back " exhaust was about .4 seconds and about 1 mph slower....

I think that the great times posted by some people are due to the track conditions, weather and good driving technique. That was my first and only time so far at the dragstrip. That damned place is at 1200 ft elevation and the temps were in the low 90s, with high humidity. Also, I must admit that my driving in this car stills sucks (I've not mastered the gear shifting or the launch yet...) Still, I think even with perfect driving, at that particular track I can't see how I could do better than high 13's with possibly a 99 mph trap...

You guys who can race at under 75°F and less than 1000 ft elevation are luckier than some of the rest of us
