When running the 1/4 mile what are the best shift points, red line or is there a peak point before that? Also what gear should you be in at the end?

 

6000rpm shifts, and you should be in 5th at the end.

 

6000 really? Not questioning you warr you know a lot but that seems low or is that just for a stock engine

Well there are to many variables really, it depends on your mods. Stock the best point is around 7000. Add some mods including cams and its around 7500. The only way to know for sure is to view a dynograph and see where you start loosing power. Also to practice at the track with shifting points.

lol, that ams evo looks like it needs to shift at 6000 rpm after watching the video of it suerving all the way down the track. (I love that video for some reason)

 

1st to 2nd 6500
2nd to 3rd 7000
3rd to 4th 7300
Finish with 4th gear. So far 12.1 @ 112
